According to a source, veteran guard Jason Kidd has decided not to resign with the Dallas Mavericks, but has instead decided to sign with the New York Knicks.
Apparently, the Mavs were really close to finishing a 3-year $9 million deal with Kidd, but he decided to sign a similar deal with the Knicks. It's just a verbal agreement for now though, as new contracts can't be officially signed until July 11th.
If Lin stays in New York, Kidd could be a great mentor.
