NFL quarterback Kerry Collins has announced his retirement after 16 years in the league.
The 38-year-old who has played the past five seasons for the Tennessee Titans said in June he still wanted to play but said in a statement released by his agent Thursday that the past few months have brought “much introspection.” He says he found he still wants to play but no longer is willing to commit to the preparation needed to do so.

Kerry Collins is one of my favorite quarterbacks of all-time. I remember watching Titans games and watching Vince Young play horrible. I was the person that always said, "Bring in Kerry Collins, Vince Young sucks." :P
I am going to miss Kerry Collins and the Titans will miss him as well. Kerry really could have been helpful to the development of Jake Locker.
