The Boston Red Sox put left-hander Jon Lester(notes) on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a strained muscle in his back.

The team recalled reliever Scott Atchison(notes) from Triple-A Pawtucket to take Lester’s place on the roster.

Lester had a no-hitter going against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, but he left after four innings because of soreness in his back. He had an MRI on Wednesday.

It's only fifteen days, but I am hoping it will still slow down the Red Sox a bit.
 
NEVER! The Red Sox are unstoppable! Look at them last year, they were missing half the team and BARELY missed out on the playoffs. 3-4 missed starts means NOTHING to the Red Sox! Stay strong Boston! Peace out!
 
Yeah Boston will be fine. Any pitcher can win if they get 10 runs of support by their offense a game.
