Joe Flacco signed a deal today that has made him the highest paid player in NFL history. The deal is for 6 years and 120.6 million dollars. Flacco recently won the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. You can read more HERE.

I think this is a joke, honestly. Joe Flacco doesn't deserve to be the highest paid player in NFL history, I don't even know if I would have him in my list of top ten quarterbacks of today. He played amazing in the playoffs this past season, but other than that, what has he done?

Flacco is the only qaurterback in the SuperBowl era to have 62 (I might have the wrong amount, but it's somewhere around there) wins in his first 5 years of play. However, I do not think he's the best by any means, nor should he be the highest paid.

Aaron Rodgers will definitely get more than Flacco if and when he resigns with the Packers. This is going to cause a ton of quarterbacks to get overpaid.

That is just not right. I mean, props to Flacco for taking his team to the Super Bowl, but there are other way better QBs in the league.

Overrated, need i say more?

Yeah, he is definitely overrated. It is humorous, before his spectacular playoff performance, his name was the punchline in a joke referring to the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL. I mean, he wasn't considered that much better than quarterbacks like Mark Sanchez for example, and now he is suddenly being paid as an elite quarterback, just because he led his team to a Super Bowl victory. It is comical.

I don't think he should be the top paid player in the NFL. There are several more deserving NFL players that deserve it more but honestly, that is only my opinion.

Ridiculous. From what I heard, this guy isn't even the best player. And really, this is an awfully large load of money. Waste of money for just an average player. Give it to another person who really deserves it. Or a better idea. Don't give anyone that much at all. Ridiculous.

Well Aaron Rodgers is signing something, so this didn't last very long.
he deserves more money than Joe but still not sure he should be highest paid. I would like to see at least one more Super Bowl win before looking at Rodgers as a deserving candidate for highest paid player.

He's more deserving than Flacco... And they're going to give him what he asks for, even if it ends up being to their disadvantage like it has been so far with Flacco. Aaron Rodgers is probably the best quarterback in the league, but not only that, he has become the big thing. He has turned into a fan favorite not just in Green Bay, but all over his country. With his increased popularity with the "Discount Double Check" and stuff like that, I feel like his value has increased. That might sound insane, but that's what sells tickets, jerseys, etc.
