The truth is that teaching job in Nigeria isn't rewarding. Not with the low pay hsnded out to teachers especially the teachers in private schools. They are paid as low as N20,000 ($18-20) as salary. That is far below the country's minimum wage. And so, the increasing costs of goods and services, coupled with low purchasing power, have made many teachers to now resign from their jobs and seek employment in firms and other organisations
 
Yes, that is why we have the maxim that teachers rewards is in heaven. The reward is very poor in my country
 
Considering that most working age people are unemployed or underemployed, teaching may be deemed rewarding in my country of residence.
