Is Chess A Sport?

Do you think chess is a sport or not? I think it is a sport. At least I hope it is as I am very good at it :)

I consider chess more of a game, or a hobby. I haven't played it in a long time, but I knew how, but was pretty bad.

I think it's a sport, I guess.

Anything competitive that is organized, I consider a sport.

I think it's more a game than a sport. Nothing that can be played with 2 people on a table is a sport in my opinion.

Let me rephrase that, anything that isn't physically challenging that can be played on a table with 2 people isn't a sport.

I think so, because it's competetive for your mind and when I think of sports I think of competition.
