I would say it would depend on your idea of a sport. I think of a sport being a more physical activity, but I do find chess a challenging activity which may make it a sport to some people. I see it more of as a hobby rather than a sport.

Today, we were playing Speedball in gym class, and my team won our game. I pointed to the other team and said "Losers." then I pointed to our team and said "Winning. Buh-bye"

So you play chess too? I haven't much in a while.
Tried sometimes playing online but after the site, which was cool, but probably also insecure, had me getting a few hacking, mercifully failed, on my computer, I got nervous. Especially when it happened twice.
Also, the pop up ads there were annoying.

No, I don't consider it a sport , I only consider things with physical activity a sport.

No no no. It's not a sport. Chess is an indoor activity. You can play it to win some bucks but you won't find people celebrating who will win or not.
