Into the Gridiron Background Information
Alright, basically "Into the Gridiron" will be a continuous series of articles about the NFL. It will basically be the same thing as a blog except on the forum. I decided to write this series because I was going to make a blog but after I got it set up I decided not to. Even though I don't show it in my posts I am actually a pretty good writer, especially for my age. I will try to write an article at least once a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The main topic will always be in the title. I will usually try to get 4-7 topics in one article. All will be at least 150 words, most will be 200-500 words.
Into the Gridiron Article #1 Introduction
1.....Tim Tebow
2.....Mike Vick, Fantasy Bust?
3.....Mason Foster Hit
4.....Eagles - Dream Team or Overrated?
Tim Tebow
First Tebow is the starter and Orton is on the block. Talks start to pick up with Miami but nothing happens. Then it is announce that Orton will be starter. Alright, big deal, Tebow can still prove himself in the preseason. As Denver travels down to Dallas Tebow is ready to prove himself. He has a fairly decent game going 6/7 and racking up 91 yards. If you ask me, that's a fantastic game. But, according to the Denver staff Brady Quinn did better and Quinn is announced 2nd string. That to me, was a terrible decision. I think that Tebow has a bright future ahead of him, Denver needs to do one of two things with him. Change his position and find somewhere he starts or get rid of him. Maybe trade him to Miami for something a little cheaper than what Orton would have brought in. Just whatever Denver does, don't send him to Buffalo.
Mike Vick, Fantasy Bust?
Say you get the passing production Vick had last year, we'll round it off, 3,000 yards, 20 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 700 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns. That is damn good in a fantasy league. Take your standard point system, 4 points per passing touchdown, -2 points per interception, 1 point per 25 passing yards, 1 point per 10 rushing yards and 6 points per rushing touchdown. These stats right here would get you 360 points. Last time I checked, that's pretty damn good. Then you have to think, what if he improved? Which chances are, he did improve. Then you have about say, 40 more points. That brings you up to 400 points. So once you look at what you think his point total will be, take into consideration injuries. Will Vick get injured? No, he sat in jail for 2 years, chances are he has one of the healthiest 32 year old bodies in the NFL. Yeah there are fights in jail, yeah they can get violent. I doubt Vick was in a terrible fight at all. So I don't think Vick will get hurt. Personally, the only person I'm taking over Vick this year is Adrian Peterson, he's not a bust.
Mason Foster Hit
Okay, yeah I made a post about how Rahim Moore should have been fined for the hit on Donald Jones. It's football, no fine should be placed. No fine should have been placed on the Mason Foster hit either, it was clean. Chad Ochocinco even thought the hit was legal and sent this tweet out "great hit last night,if u’re fined I’ll reimburse u boss. That’s the way the game should b played. Stay healthy n have a good yr”. Soon after a fine was placed and of course Chad stuck with what he said, he sent this tweet shortly after the fine was placed. "@nflcommish Dad no disrespect but I don’t agree with @mason_foster fine n I’ll be reimbursing him personally. Please feel free to contact me”. The hit was clean, and even if it wasn't no fine should have been placed. The NFL and Roger Goodell need to grow up, yeah there's concussions, yeah there's players who get paralyzed but I don't watch the Laugerie Football League, I watch the NFL.
Eagles - Dream Team or Overrated?
No, Vince Young had absolutely no authority to call the Eagles a dream team, but I would say that they are a dream team honestly. You have what can turn out to be the most dominate offense in the league. Vick can throw and he can take off and run if he wanted. He's a top 10 QB at least in my eyes. LeSean McCoy is also a good player, top 15 RB, arguably a top 10 to some people. DeSean Jackson is also going to be great this year. He will make a strong case for WROTY in my opinion. Then you have their defense. It is stacked in the secondary. Asante Samuel, Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominic Rodgers-Cromartie. Dayum, that is one of the best secondaries I've heard of in a while. That'll be a lockdown pass defense to anybody, the only people that will have a passing attack against Philly will be the Colts and the Patriots. Then if DRC gets back to how he was playing in his rookie year, just forget it. Nobody will touch the Eagles pass defense this year. My prediction has them getting somewhere from 12 to 14 wins and taking the super bowl. They'll be a dominate force this year. Yes, the Eagles are a dream team.

This one was pretty poorly prepared as I just got the idea today. I will have much better topics next time around and it will be much better written. If you have anything you would like me to write just request it in the thread. Next week it'll probably be wrote sometime from Wednesday to Sunday morning. Now let's get some discussion in here!
