I'm actually dissapointed in myself for not making a thread on this sooner. >
The 2011-2012 IIHF World Junior Championship kicked off on December 26th in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Round Robin finished yesterday, and they playoffs start tomorrow. Here are the standings:

Pool A
1. Sweden
2. Russia
3. Slovaki
4. Switzerland
5. Latvia

Pool B
1. Canada (:D)
2. Finland
3. Czech Republic
4. USA (HAHAHAHAHAHA)
5. Denmark

Canada and Sweden finished first in their pools, so they get a bye straight to the semi finals.
In the Quarter-Finals, Czech Republic is playing Russia (I am going to this game! :D) and Finland is playing Slovakia.

Soooo. Predictions?
Gold: Canada
Silver: Sweden
Bronze: Czech Republic

I have ticekts to the Gold Medal game! Can't wait! :D

Apeman did you end up going to any of the games?

Disappointing effort by Canada against the Russians, especially after last year. Almost made a comeback but I guess when you lack Jordan Eberle it isn't that easy :P lol jk

Always next year. I wasn't lucky enough to get any tickets would of loved to go to some games.

Yeah, all of the important games in Calgary (Gold, bronze, semis, quarters) and Canada v. Denmark in Edmonton.

The Canada Russia game was buzzing, even when we were down big. Though, in the bronze medal game it didn't really seem like anyone cared. :P

My parents asked if I wanted to go to Ufa next year because the tix would be cheaper and easier to get. I said yes, but I don't think they want to.
