I don't know if anyone follows it, but there is good chance it will be forced to fold after this year. here is the teams and their situations:
Muskegon Lumberjacks-exploring USHL
Flint Generals-several people have walked due to no being paid, 2nd year in a row with these issues
Dayton Gems-league has taken over this team otherwise they would've suspended operations already
Quad City Mallards-arena lease requires minium of 7teams
Fort Wayne Komets-no issues here there owners have a stake in several teams, by far the richest team in the IHL
Port Huron Icehawks-nothing bad here
Bloomington Praire Thunder-nothing to report here

Until now.it was the uhl untill the end of the 06-07 season when it was renanmed the IHL. it is a league that calls itself a "double A" devolpment league, but yet it allows 8vets per team. it is just above juniors as far as i am concerned in quality.

Lumberjacks are officially toast after 50years of pro hockey...

Bloomington-per reports there is some arena issues here
Quad City-no expansion would mean they would be gone due to terms in their arena lease.

Expansions?
Chicago-may finally play since their 1st season in 06-07in the then UHL, arena is under new owenership and may give decent dates this time with a less expensive lease. However, I won't expect anything here as they have been expected to return since the end of the 07-08season in the new IHL.

Evansville-nothing expected here soon, enless an arena can be bulit overnight to support an IHL team, not that small one used for the AAHL.
