How Do We Feel About the Blackhawks Ratings in NHL26?

Player ratings are out for NHL26 from EA Sports, which always leads to a great deal of conversation. Who’s too low? Who’s too high? How do the Blackhawks look?

Well, here are the top ten Blackhawks in the game this year:

Connor Bedard and Macklin Celebrini are both rated an 88 this season, which I’m sure will get more people excited.

The centers with a higher overall grade than Bedard in the Central Division are: Nathan MacKinnon, Mark Scheifele, Martin Nečas, Robert Thomas and Matt Duchene.

For those wondering, the columns are:

  • ACL — acceleration
  • SPD — speed
  • DEK — deking
  • PAS — passing
  • SLP — slapshot power
  • WSP — wristshot power

With all due respect to Bedard, I think the programmers might have sold Frank Nazar a little low with the same speed rating as Bedard. Nazar did get “Wheels” as one of his X Factors for his giddyup.

I will also say Alex Vlasic getting a 90 for both shot power categories feels light; according to NHL Edge, he ranked in the 98th percentile last year with a top exit velocity of 101.92 mph. Vlasic is the 11th-ranked LHD in the division; nine LHD in the Central are in the top 99 overall in the game.
