Well the Habs just got Ellis... So I guess that means no to Biron.

I think Eller is a bust... Habs rushed it I think.

They moved him to resign Plekanec...

I would have prefered that the Habs keep both Halak and Price, but in the cap world, it would have been impossible.

I don't think it was a necessarily a bad choice, but probably the only choice they had.

Halak had a great second half of the season, and a good playoff run. However I don't know how he will fair playing 70+ games. He seems to fall apart when he plays more than 4 consecutive games. I think last season he hit his peak.

On the other hand, Price is only 22 and it takes longer for a goalie to develop. He has tremendous talent and would be a big mistake to give up on him now. Scotty Bowman, one of the greatest minds in hockey, agrees.

As far as the Habs getting shafted in this deal, I don't agree. Anyone that knows about the Blues' prospects knows that Lars Eller was one of their top prospects (him being to the Blues what Subban is to the Habs). Ian Schultz adds what the Habs were missing; size and some grit.

As far as getting a backup for Price, Biron has gone on record saying that he is interested. For the right price, I think it would be ideal.

That's my 2 cents

Ellis is said to be looking for a 2-year deal worth $4M. I wouldn't give him that much.

Oh well, I guess we'll see tomorrow because he isn't signed yet.

Auld isnt better than Ellis. Biron was available... Still is but Auld is the backup.

Price has yet to sign with the Habs.
