Grizzlies' Ja Morant dunk will have fans begging for 2026 Dunk Contest participation

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant clarified that he still dunks last season but would he considering doing the 2026 Dunk Contest? In the clip, Morant throws the ball in the air for a high bounce before catching it mid-air for a reverse dunk, per Morant's Instagram. This is most likely a 50; if not, it's close to what Ja Morant would receive if he did this in next season's Dunk Contest.

While on the tour, Morant sought to give his fans a show by attempting to dunk over his father, Tee Morant, but almost injured himself in the process. As seen in the viral clip, when Ja was about to catapult in the air, he slid into the back of his father and almost took a terrible fall. Blazers Rookie Yang Hansen Already Earning Comps to Hall of Fame Superstar

Ben Golliver of The Washington Post suggests that Hansen's personality already reminds him of the congenial, welcoming attitude exhibited by former 15-time All-Star Shaquille O'Neal. “While star big men such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Victor Wembanyama often appeared serious and guarded in public, Yang's lighthearted personality recalls a fellow towering jester: Shaquille O'Neal,” Golliver writes.

Ira Winderman: For Heat, NBA’s new CBA means complicated business ahead

MIAMI — We’re not sure if Pat Riley still cruises Biscayne Boulevard top down in one of his classic convertibles. But a case could be made for this being a test drive of an offseason for the Miami Heat. While the current NBA collective-bargaining agreement went into effect on July 1, 2023, only now are the long-term ramifications of the terms fully coming into play. It is why the Boston ...

1 final move Memphis Grizzlies must make to complete 2025 NBA offseason

The Memphis Grizzlies have had a very interesting offseason. Coming off a disappointing 2024-25 season in which they fell off towards the end of the season and, as a result, had to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (in which they were promptly swept), the Grizzlies decided to change their roster-building course, trading Desmond Bane away to the Orlando Magic in the process. In trading Bane, the Grizzlies acquired Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in return. Caldwell-Pope's contract has turned into quite the albatross considering how poorly he played for the offense-starved Magic last season.

NBA Insider Gives Encouraging Ja Morant Update Amid Rough Months

It's been an interesting few years for Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, dealing with suspensions, injuries, and much more. Understandably, that could have an impact on someone's mental state, but it appears that Morant could be on the other side of all of it. Chris Vernon of The Ringer said as much on his latest episode of "The Mismatch" podcast, saying this is the happiest he's seen Morant in years. Ja Morant was on a tour in China and Manila for Nike, a more than two-week tour that has clearly boosted his branding, as his latest sneaker, the "Light Show" colorway of the Nike Ja 3, sold out in less than 30 minutes.
