Goodbye Strasburg!

We won't be blessed to have him in our presence on the mound, for oh...Only 12-18 months. So, a year, even a year and a half. He will be gone the rest of the season, and the season after that. The Nationals are crushed. Bad luck for them, once again. He tore a ligament in his right elbow. He will have to have Tommy John surgery. Note though, pitchers Chris Carpenter, Tim Hudson, A.J. Burnett, John Smoltz, Kerry Wood, and many other top pitchers. Will Stephen Strasburg come back strong? We won't know for awhile. Grab a chair. So much for the Nationals protecting him, I guess?

Just a little fact, players that come off Tommy John surgery come back throwing 5PMH harder and at full potential. Now imagine a 106MPH fastball, who's gonna hit that? (Even though we know he won't throw 106)
