The New York Giants will field a new starting quarterback in 2025 and it very well could be a rookie. With the third overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft, general manager Joe Schoen may be blessed with a choice.

Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders are widely considered the top two quarterbacks of the class, and both could theoretically fall to the Giants, who spent significant resources scouting them this past season.

Of the two, Sanders appeared to have been given more face time with the staff, including head coach Brian Daboll.

During an appearance on the DNVR Buffs podcast on Radio Row ahead of Super Bowl LIX, Sanders expressed admiration for Daboll — both as a man and as a head coach.

“We ain’t practice it,” Sanders said of their handshake. “He got a different kind swagger about him too though — he was cool though, he was down to earth. He understand kind of how I am and who I am. And I understood him, also. As long as everybody go into a situation where I’m not going to believe anything I see online mutually then it will be a good relationship. You know?”

Sanders believes that positive relationship could yield quality results on the field. And although he’s only spent a limited amount of time around Daboll, he feels they gel.

“But if you go into a relationship with all these preconceived thoughts, it’s never going to work,” he said. “So you have to go into everything genuine and let people show you who they are and, to me, he’s a great guy, great coach and he’s definitely a man of his family, so I like coach for sure.”

If Sanders falls to No. 3 (or the Giants trade up), he firmly believes East Rutherford is his next destination. He’s hinted at it several times already this offseason and that does appear to be the trend.

New York Giants Super Bowl hero Plaxico Burress has apparently sold his championship ring to help defray the costs incurred by his mounting legal and financial issues.

The New York Post reports that Burress’ ring is now being auctioned off by Heritage Auctions and features “a trio of white and gold diamond-encrusted Vince Lombardi trophies and Burress’ surname.”

Burress’ career went off the rails after shooting himself in the leg at a Manhattan nightclub eight months after he caught the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLII to beat the previously unbeaten New England Patriots.

The ring, however, is believed to no longer be owned by the 6-foot-5 former wide receiver, who The Post believes may have hocked it just “months ago.”

The jewelry currently has a bid for $33,000, although the Dallas-based auction house believes it could fetch a staggering final bid of at least $100,000 by the auction’s end on Feb. 22.

Burress, who is currently working as a FOX Sports radio host, was able to continue his NFL career after serving a 20-month prison sentence. He retired after playing the 2012 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He has been battling financial issues ever since, selling off properties and possessions to keep up with the many litigations and court judgments against him.

Ever since the New York Giants moved up in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft to snare Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, they have struggled to find a place for him in their offense.

Hyatt, despite dressing for 33 of the Giants’ 34 games the past two years, has only caught 31 of 59 targets for 435 yards and no touchdowns. This is from a player who once scored five touchdowns in a college game against powerhouse Alabama while at Tennessee.

Hyatt’s production waned in 2024 after the Giants added LSU star Malik Nabers in the first round of the draft. Hyatt started just three games, catching a measly eight passes for 62 yards while playing on 20.7 percent of the offensive snaps.

Hyatt was the subject of trade rumors during the season, but both he and the Giants denied those reports.

This offseason, Hyatt is talking about what he can do to fit in with the Giants. In a recent interview, Hyatt suggested the Giants use him like he was used in college.

“I want to be moved around more,” Hyatt said on The Jake Asman Show. “Just keep me on the outside, but also let me move around.

“When I feel like I’m moving around, I feel more confident.”

Hyatt believes he has to be more consistent in his play, a contention held by many of his critics.

Hyatt has work to do if he is to break through with the Giants. Nabers is a budding superstar and Wan’Dale Robinson has become a very reliable option in the short passing game.

The Giants may also be interested in bringing Darius Slayton back in free agency if the price is right.

The New York Giants decided to retain general manager Joe Schoen after a disastrous 3-14 campaign in 2024 largely because of his success at the draft table last spring.

Schoen only had six selections to work with but made all of them count. The offensive players are well known (wide receiver Malik Nabers, tight end Theo Johnson, Trunning back Tyrone Tracy Jr.) but the defensive players made their mark as well.

Safety Tyler Nubin, cornerback Andru Phillips, and linebacker Darius Muasau all were major contributors on defense.

Phillips was recently identified as the Giants’ “unsung hero” for the 2024 season by Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

Schoen has taken a lot of Ls recently, but Phillips is a W. The third-round pick looks like a steal after Year 1, proving to be the Giants’ top cover man. He led Big Blue with a -7.2 target EPA and was the only New York corner with a negative EPA per target (-0.17). The Giants desperately need help on the outside of the defense heading into 2025, but they should be confident in Phillips growing in the slot gig. Between Nabers, Phillips and Tracy, the Giants’ 2024 draft class produced multiple building blocks.

Phillips, a third-round pick out of Kentucky, played in 14 games in 2024, starting three, but he was assigned basically as a slot and nickel corner with Deonte Banks and Cor’Dale Flott manning the outside spots.

Nabers, who was nominated for Offensive Rookie of the Year, is content this year’s draft class is the one that will get the Giants back on the winning track.

“We’re happy where we’re at,” Nabers said. “Continue to grow every day. A lot of things to fix, a lot of things we can look back on in our rookie year and continue to try to get better for next year. I’m happy with the group that decided to come here, that they picked. We’ve been doing a lot of great things.

“I feel like we’re all dawgs… We’ve got that mentality that we want to win. Nothing’s going to stop us from getting done what we want to get done. To have that as a group and all in one, the sky’s the limit for us, I’m happy for that.”

The Giants have not had such an impactful draft class since 2007. They won the Super Bowl that season.

Super Bowl LIX will kick off on Sunday night in New Orleans. The two-time reigning NFL champion Kansas City Chiefs will face the equally talented Philadelphia Eagles.

For New York Giants fans, the question is: Who do you root for?

The Chiefs have become a behemoth under head coach Andy Reid, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo — a former defensive coordinator and interim head coach with Big Blue.

Kansas City is in their fifth Super Bowl in the last six seasons. They have won three of five and two straight. They are attempting to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

The Eagles, a team that lost their leaders in the trenches on both sides of the ball (defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and center Jason Kelce), have not missed a beat and have become unstoppable with Saquon Barkley in their backfield.

Ah, and therein lies the rub. Giant fans are torn as many want to see the classy Barkley, the former face of their franchise, achieve the ultimate success in winning a Super Bowl.

But he will also be doing it for their most hated rival, Philadelphia. We all know co-owner John Mara’s feelings on the subject (he’s not sleeping), and we’ve been hearing from several of Barkley’s former Giants teammates that they are in his corner this Sunday.

From the New York Post:

“I thought they were crazy,” said Nick Gates, a member of Barkley’s rookie class with the Giants who is now an Eagles backup center. “How do you let that type of player go? The offensive line groups I was part of weren’t super-great. We were always ranked bottom-half. He still did pretty well with what he had. It’s cool to see him reach the goals everybody knew he could reach.”

Greg Rosenstein of NBC Sports says no matter how you slice it, Giant fans are the biggest losers in this year’s game. The Eagles are one win from a championship while their 3-14 Giants remain without a franchise quarterback and there’s no real winning for them this weekend.

“Every time I see Barkley running for a touchdown, it’s just like a total gut punch,” Giants fan John Lopez told NBC News this week. “Every Giants fan dies a little bit inside thinking about seeing Saquon Barkley, confetti everywhere, hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.”

True. No matter how good you feel for Saquon, it won’t help the Giants. His success is a constant reminder of the Giants’ dysfunction and ineptitude.

Barkley, naturally, holds no ill will towards the Giants. They have disappeared in his rearview mirror. Unfortunately for the Big Blue, they can’t seem to get Barkley off the hood of their car.

The New York Giants met with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson last offseason but in the end, nothing materialized. Instead, he opted to sign a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson now appears headed back to free agency and once again, the Giants are in the market for a quarterback. General manager Joe Schoen could sign or trade for a veteran or select one in the 2025 NFL draft.

Or both.

Wilson is an intriguing option given that he’s both a fit for Brian Daboll’s offensive system and has long desired to play in New York. And while he’s not the dominant quarterback he once was, he could fill the role as a bridge quarterback quite nicely.

Unsurprisingly, the Giants are on Wilson’s free agent radar, reports Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Wilson loved his season in Pittsburgh and is open to returning but is taking a see-what-happens approach to it all. Ex-Pete Carroll assistants believe Wilson could coexist with Carroll for the Raiders, too, having mended fences from their Seattle days. But others around the league are skeptical of the pairing. Wilson has also been connected to the Giants by a few people this week. He visited with the Giants last free agency, and New York is on his radar as a potential option in 2025.

In 11 games this past season, Wilson completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also rushed for 155 yards and two additional touchdowns.

By comparison, Giants quarterbacks combined for 19 total touchdowns in 17 games.

Who is going to start at quarterback for the New York Giants in 2025?

It’s a fair question and a rather mundane one at that, but it’s also one many struggle to answer. That’s why when NJ Advance Media asked 17 experts, they got roughly 10 different answers.

While most stayed on point, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy veered a bit off-topic. He took the opportunity to throw shade at Giants general manager Joe Schoen instead.

“Shoot, I don’t know, you’ve got to ask the Giants that. Though I don’t know if their GM makes the best decisions,” McCoy said.

It’s a warranted criticism but one that has become a bit tired. Schoen has clearly struggled when making some personnel decisions, especially at the quarterback decision, but that’s not what McCoy was referencing.

Like many others, including future Hall of Famer Tom Brady, McCoy was knocking Schoen over his decision to let running back Saquon Barkley walk via free agency (and maybe a little bit over the Daniel Jones contract).

These criticisms show no sign of slowing down and will likely persist until the Giants finally turn a corner and find success or Schoen is fired alongside head coach Brian Daboll.

What comes first is the next question that should be asked.

Long before they paired up as members of the Philadelphia Eagles, running back Saquon Barkley and offensive lineman Nick Gates played side-by-side as teammates for the New York Giants.

Gates marveled at Barkley’s dynamic athleticism and game-breaking ability which is why he, like so many others, was shocked when the Giants let him walk.

Barkley, of course, went on to dominate at historic levels here in 2025, making the decision seem all the more “crazy” to Gates.

“I thought they were crazy,” Gates told the New York Post. “How do you let that type of player go? The offensive line groups I was part of weren’t super-great. We were always ranked bottom-half. He still did pretty well with what he had. It’s cool to see him reach the goals everybody knew he could reach.”

General manager Joe Schoen is strict when it comes to his positional valuations and the two sides couldn’t bridge what was rumored to be a $2 million gap.

As a result, the Giants lost the face of their franchise for absolutely nothing, while Barkley helped lead the Eagles to Super Bowl LIX — a nightmare scenario for co-owner John Mara.

Unfortunately for Gates, he won’t appear in the game after being placed on injured reserve (IR) but will still be on the sideline supporting his team and former Giants counterpart, Saquon Barkley.

Many current NFL fans only know Michael Strahan for his television work and Andy Reid as the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Once upon a time, Strahan was a Pro Bowl defensive end for the New York Giants and Reid was the head coach of the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

The two have a history together and Strahan told a quick anecdote about how the subdued Ried could be a prankster.

“Andy coached me in the Pro Bowl several times,” Strahan, an NFL on Fox analyst, told the New York Post this week.

“And the only problem I had with him then is that every time I get back to New York and open up my travel bag and all my equipment in it, there’d be a bunch of Eagles crap in it.”

That didn’t sit too well with Strahan as one could imagine but he had to see the humor in it.

Reid coached the Eagles from 1999 through 2012 and faced Strahan 20 total times until Strahan’s retirement in 2008. The Giants went 9-9 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs against the Eagles and Reid over that period.

Retired New York Giants quarterback and future Hall of Famer, Eli Manning, didn’t leave the football world after retirement. Neither did his brother, Peyton.

For the last three years, the brothers have hosted “ManningCast” every Monday night during Monday Night Football, but that’s not the only venture the brothers are part of.

For the third time, FanDuel ran the Kick of Destiny challenge on Sunday, dubbed Kick of Destiny 3.

What started as a Super Bowl commercial featuring Rob Gronkowski attempting a 25-yard field goal is being morphed into something else. This year, the Manning brothers took it to a new level and made it a competition.

You can find the rules here.

In the 3:00 p.m. ET hour of the pregame show, Eli and Peyton squared off. Eli won the toss and chose for Peyton to kick first.

In Round 1, they kicked from 25 yards out and both brothers missed — Eli completely whiffed.

In the second round, they moved the spot to a 20-yard field goal attempt. Peyton went first again and his attempt looked like it might sneak in before hitting the upright and bouncing back.

Then it was Eli’s turn. He set the ball, took his steps back, hyped up the crowd, and lined up the kick… It was good!

And your @FanDuel #KickOfDestiny 3 Champion is………..@EliManning!

Eli Manning bested Peyton again. He’s now 3-0 in the Pro Bowl and 1-0 in the Kick of Destiny.

After winning, Manning said it was “well worth it,” referring to some soreness he experienced in practice.

The younger brother outdid the older brother and will have bragging rights for however long he likes.

4 ex-Giants can now call themselves Super Bowl LIX champions

The Philadelphia Eagles dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, in Super Bowl LIX and the game was never as close as the final score would suggest.

Led by their dominant defense, Philly took a 24-0 lead into halftime and with just under 3:00 in the game, were leading by a score of 40-6. Two garbage-time touchdowns and two-point conversions made the game look more competitive than it was to box-score readers.

For fans of the New York Giants, it was a nightmare end to a humiliating season. But for at least four former Giants, it was a dream come true.

These four players who once suited up for Big Blue are now Super Bowl champions — all four for the first time.

Report: Saquon Barkley once passed on Giants offer that exceeded Eagles deal

On Sunday night, Saquon Barkley picked up his first Super Bowl championship as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. Unsurprisingly, that thrust the New York Giants back into the spotlight.

The entire NFL world saw the divorce between Barkley and the Giants play out on “Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants” back in July. It became a viral topic of discussion that persisted throughout the year as the former No. 2 overall pick put up historic numbers.

Although exact contractual details were not shared during Hard Knocks, a recent report by Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post suggests the Giants and Barkley parted ways over just $1.5 million in guaranteed money over the course of three seasons.

Had the Giants upped their own final offer to him, made in July 2023, by about $1.5 million guaranteed over three years, Barkley never would’ve reached free agency, and HBO’s “Hard Knocks” would’ve been boring television. The Eagles’ season might be over.

That minuscule amount of money set in motion a remarkable fall from grace for the Giants and the ascension of the Philadelphia Eagles to the NFL’s elite.

But there’s still more to the story.

Greg Bishop of Sports Illustrated recently sat down with Barkley’s trainer, Ryan Flaherty, who informed the publication that New York once offered the running back a larger deal than the one he signed with Philadelphia, but it was rebuffed.

In regard to Saquon Barkley’s contract with the Eagles, his trainer, Ryan Flaherty, says one Giants offer came in higher than what Barkley signed for in Philadelphia. He shares this story to illuminate Barkley’s mindset. The running back viewed that calculus in multiple ways. He wasn’t happy with how the Giants handled the end in New York. He never said so publicly. He understood the tension. And, while he reconciled the tension with his internal misgivings, he still wanted to remain loyal. Even before this season. When Giants brass decided to move on, he saw not fewer dollars in Philadelphia but a realistic chance to win a Super Bowl.

“It’s rare upon rare for someone to go to a division rival and everybody just be like, ‘Well, we respect you because of how you handled that,'” Flaherty said. “He held to his principles. That’s who he is.”

It can be true that the Giants and general manager Joe Schoen mishandled the situation with Barkley and also true that Barkley turned down a fair offer. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Unfortunately for Schoen, these new revelations that are coming from the Barkley camp (and not the Giants), won’t be enough to end the relentless criticism and mockery.

LeSean McCoy shades Giants after Eagles win Super Bowl LIX

There is no love lost between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, a rivalry that dates back decades. And when there’s an opportunity to throw shade, very rarely is it passed over.

Following the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, retired running back LeSean McCoy took his shots.

Proving that the Giants will forever be on his mind, he thanked the organization for Saquon Barkley.

💍

💍
💍
thank you giants

— LeSean Shady Mccoy (@CutonDime25) February 10, 2025

McCoy was a long-time thorn in the Giants’ side, rushing for 1,036 yards and four touchdowns over 12 games (9-3 record). He also had a heated individual rivalry with defensive end Osi Umenyiora, which extended well beyond the football field.

Their rivalry reached a fever pitch in 2012 when McCoy said Umenyiora looked like “a ballerina in a Giants uniform” and called him “soft.”

Osi fired back, referring to McCoy as “Lady Gaga” and wishing him a Happy Mother’s Day on social media before eventually apologizing to the women he offended.

Umenyiora won two Super Bowl championships with the Giants and McCoy compiled two rings of his own, although neither came as a member of the Eagles.

But in this moment, McCoy has the high ground and he knows it. And he wants the Giants and their fans to know it.

Giants nearly bottom out in ESPN's way-too-early 2025 power rankings

The 2024 NFL season is thankfully over for the New York Giants and their fans. It was perhaps the most disappointing, frustrating, and embarrassing in the century-long existence of the franchise.

A 3-14 record has put them in prime position to amass another top rookie class and approximately $50 million in available cap space will go a long way in filling some glaring holes on the roster.

ESPN published their power rankings after the Super Bowl and the Giants were ranked 31st, ahead of only the Tennessee Titans.

Jordan Raanan added these comments about the upcoming offseason, outlining the team’s top priority.

Describe this offseason in three words: Get a quarterback.

It’s the Giants’ No. 1 priority this offseason by a wide margin. They need to find a solution for both next season and the future. The draft, free agency, trade, everything is on the table, according to owner John Mara. Considering the plan all along was to get a quarterback in the draft if Daniel Jones didn’t pan out, it’s a good bet the Giants will land one of the draft’s top options with the third overall pick.

It’s no secret the Giants will be big players in the quarterback market this spring. They will explore every avenue to add both a veteran option for this year and a possible franchise player in the draft.

After a disastrous 2024 campaign that saw just about every move and decision they made go awry, there’s only one way for this franchise to go from here.

Should Giants consider signing Aaron Rodgers if he's released by Jets?

Should Giants consider signing Aaron Rodgers if he's released by Jets?

The New York Giants will be seeking a new starting quarterback for the upcoming 2025 season.

That’s not news. We all know they will likely take a look at all of their options in free agency, via a trade, and/or in the 2025 NFL draft, where they own the third overall pick.

One new name has emerged as a possibility for them this past week — future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers.

Big scoopage: Aaron Rodgers flew back to New Jersey last week to meet with the Jets about his future with the team, only to be told that the team was moving on from him. If that means that he will be a June 1 designation that allows him to sign with any team in the league on…

— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) February 9, 2025

Rodgers’ current team, the New York Jets, are under new management, and incoming general manager head coach Aaron Glenn wants to turn the page on the quarterback’s tenure in New York.

But will Rodgers consider staying in the Big Apple and playing for the Giants until they find their next franchise quarterback?

Rodgers, 41, is still productive. In 2024, he played in all 17 games for Gang Green, completing 368 of 584 passes for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns versus 11 interceptions. He also rushed 22 times for 107 rushing yards.

Rodgers comes with a lot of baggage, no doubt, but he’d be a solid bridge for the Giants and would certainly shift the flagging narrative of the franchise.

In which direction remains to be seen. Can the Giants fit Rodgers in their short-term financial plans? Can he co-exist with head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka?

All valid questions. This seems like a long shot. The Giants need to get more clarity on their future and signing Rodgers does not offer that. They are more likely to add a different, less-expensive veteran and take one in the draft.

Giants nightmare season ends with Saquon Barkley hoisting Lombardi Trophy for Philly

The 2024 season is finally, officially, and mercifully over for the New York Giants.

What was supposed to be a celebration of their 100th season in the NFL turned into a debilitating nightmare fraught with losing, failure, and relentless embarrassment.

From start to finish, it was a recurring slap to the face that persisted until the literal final second when running back Saquon Barkley, the former No. 2 overall pick and six-year face of the franchise, celebrated his birthday by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy… for the Philadelphia Eagles.

This is art. pic.twitter.com/3kIyClFwrV

— Black Shoe Diaries (@BSDtweet) February 10, 2025

After general manager Joe Schoen dug in his heels and let Barkley walk over a reported $1.5 million, the veteran back did the unthinkable. He signed with their chief NFC East rivals, much to the sickening disdain of Giants co-owner John Mara, who lost more sleep than he’d care to admit.

Not only did Barkley jet for Philadelphia, but he also rushed for over 2,000 yards during the regular season, catapulting himself into MVP consideration and winning Offensive Player of the Year.

That dominance continued throughout the playoffs and Super Bowl, as Barkley toppled Terrell Davis’ long-standing single-season rushing record (postseason included) of 2,476 yards.

By every mark and measure, it was the greatest season for a running back in NFL history. And that’s just so pathetically fitting for the Giants, who have become the NFL’s laughingstock.

If it could have gone wrong for the Giants in 2024, it did. And there’s very little hope they will suddenly find their footing and turn things around in 2025.

Giants hiring Chad Hall as assistant QB coach

The New York Giants are reportedly hiring Chad Hall to serve as their assistant quarterbacks coach.

Giants are hiring former Jaguars and Bills WR coach Chad Hall as their assistant quarterbacks coach, per source. Hall now reunites with his former Bills colleagues, HC Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen, in New York. Hall also is the brother-in-law of current Rams QB Matthew…

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 10, 2025

Hall, 38, is a former NFL wide receiver who played for the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Jacksonville Jaguars during a four-year career that spanned from 2010-14.

Hall joined the coaching ranks of the Buffalo Bills in 2017 where he became an offensive assistant under offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, now the Giants’ head coach.

In 2019, Hall served as the Bills’ wide receivers coach. For the past two seasons, he has held that position with Jacksonville.

Hall replaced Christian Jones, who left the Giants last week to become the Cleveland Browns tight end coach.

Hall will work under quarterbacks coach/offensive passing game coordinator Shea Tierney.

The Giants currently have no quarterbacks under contract for the 2025 season. They do have an option on exclusive rights free agent Tommy DeVito and are expected to bring him back.

The Giants are also expected to add a veteran and a rookie in the coming months to their quarterback room.

NFL analyst suggests Giants trade draft pick for this underwhelming QB

The New York Giants currently do not have a quarterback under contract for the upcoming season. They have mentioned bringing back third-stringer Tommy DeVito but they’ll need to add a seasoned veteran along with a rookie to fill their quarterback room.

Sports Illustrated’s Conor Orr sees the Giants selecting Miami’s Cam Ward with the third overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft and has a bold prediction of who they might bring in as their veteran option this offseason.

The Giants will pair a quarterback in one of the first two rounds with an established veteran. I think the Giants’ starting quarterback this coming Week 1 will be aged 27 or older. Brian Daboll understands the game and also knows that the quickest way toward erasing the ugliness of next season is to find himself a quarterback with some seasoning who can get the ball out on time and on location.

While I feel the Giants suffer a bit in the way the Falcons did—so much perceived talent but real holes at foundational spots that are overlooked—this is the season where it all must come together, or fall apart. What would I do? Use my extra fourth-round draft pick and see if I can pry Jake Browning out of Cincinnati, giving Ward some time to sit in Year 1. Eventually, for Daboll to succeed, he’s going to need the dynamism of a running quarterback.

It makes sense for the Giants to address their quarterback need in this fashion. Ward may not be ready to start Day 1 and will need a bridge player to start the 2025 season that is not named Tommy DeVito.

Jake Browning has just seven NFL starts in his six seasons in the NFL, which began with Minnesota before moving on to Cincinnati, where he has been Joe Burrow’s backup.

In 2023, Browning started seven games in Burrow’s absence and led the Bengals to a 4-3 record, completing 70.4 percent of his passes for 1,936 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Giants are third in waiver priority through Week 3 of 2025 season

The league finalized the order for the first round of the 2025 NFL draft on Monday after the completion of the Super Bowl.

The New York Giants, who finished in a three-way tie for the worst record in the league (3-14) along with the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, will select third overall.

The Titans will select first based on the tiebreaker, which is strength of schedule (.522). Cleveland (.536) will select second followed by the Giants (.554).

The NFL waiver period, which began on Monday, will use the first-round draft order when it comes to prioritizing waiver requests.

The NFL's waiver period for the 2025 league year begins today.

From now through Week 3 of the regular season, the waiver order will mirror the draft order.

The Titans have top priority on all waived players for the next 7 months.

It’s not a place teams want to be, and it may not end up amounting to much, but it’s all part of the NFL’s quest for parity.

The remainder of the draft order will be released after the league announces the compensatory selections, which will be awarded later in the offseason.
