Favorite Video Game?

Is it really as fun as everybody says it is? I played it at a friends house, and didn't like it that much.

I have modern warfare reflex, but I don't like it that much.
I actually like more of the sci fi stuff like metroid and lasers, yeah hi tech stuff.

My all time favorite is Tales of Symphonia 1. That was a kick-ass game. Great graphics, great spells... although the character developpement lacked a bit.
