The Good, Bad & Ugly from the Miami Dolphins Week 11 win over the Washington Commanders

gettyimages-2246986794.jpg

Sunday’s clash with the Washington Commanders — the final international game of the 2025 NFL season — was an ugly affair in a beautiful stadium (Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain) for the Miami Dolphins, yet as the dust settled, the scoreboard showed a narrow overtime victory for the boys in aqua and orange by a score of 16-13.

After defeating their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills, in convincing fashion by a score of 30-13 last week, many fans of the Dolphins thought they were in for an easier bout against Washington, but if you’ve watched this season in its entirety, you understand that things don’t often come easy for Mike McDaniel’s club.

Still, a win is a win — and that now makes two in a row for Miami for the first time since weeks 16 and 17 of the 2024 NFL season.

GOOD

De’Von Achane continues to show he’s most explosive Dolphins weapon

After trampling the Bills to the tune of 225 yards from scrimmage last Sunday, Dolphins running back De’Von Achane continued his dominance over opposing defenses against the Commanders as the third-year player totaled 120 yards rushing on 21 carries (5.9 yards per carry), plus added five receptions for 45 yards receiving.

Achane did not find the endzone against Washington, as his running-mate — rookie back Ollie Gordon II — vultured one score, and was stuffed on multiple goal-to-go situations later in the contest. However, without the production from Miami’s electric ball-carrier, the Dolphins would have likely found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard in Madrid.

BAD

Jaylen Waddle’s case of the drops returns

Throughout his career as a member of the Miami Dolphins, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has had an unfortunate propensity for dropping passes from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. But, since fellow receiver Tyreek Hill was placed on injured reserve with a season ending knee injury, Waddle has stepped up big time in the Cheetah’s absence.

However, on Sunday against the Commanders, Waddle’s drop issues unfortunately returned, as the Penguin had two easy receptions bounce directly off of his hands and fall to the grass for incomplete passes in crucial situations.

The second dropped pass came on a short throw near the end of regulation that would have set the Dolphins up for a long game-winning field goal try as time expired. However, after Waddle was unable to reel in the reception, the Dolphins were forced to throw it short to Achane and the running back was tackled far short of the endzone as the clock hit all zeros.

Miami will need Waddle to regain his high level of production if they hope to continue to rattle off wins as they attempt to get back into the playoff hunt.

UGLY

Dolphins have multiple drives stall in goal-to-go situations

Prior to Sunday’s game against Washington, the Dolphins had been perfect in goal-to-go situations during the 2025 NFL season — scoring touchdowns on all 13 opportunities.

Against the Commanders, things changed quickly for Miami, as they were stopped on multiple drives just shy of the endzone.

The first missed opportunity came when a fourth down throw from Tagovailoa to Waddle was tipped by linebacker Bobby Wagner as the receiver was attempting a sliding catch in the endzone. Miami had tried to run it up the gut on a couple of plays prior to that unsuccessful try, yet were stuffed each time, even as stud defensive tackle Daron Payne was inactive for Washington due to a one-game suspension.

Miami’s second turnover on downs came as the team was trying for the go-ahead touchdown with less than two-minutes remaining in the game. After Achane was dinged up for a couple of plays, rookie back Ollie Gordon II was stuffed on 4th and goal from the one yard line to give the ball back to the Commanders. Luckily, kicker Matt Gay incurred his second missed field goal try of the game as time expired, and the Dolphins were able to come up with an interception on the second play of overtime as Jack Jones made a fantastic play on a Marcus Mariota pass intended for tight end Zach Ertz. The Dolphins would finally settle for a field goal — this time to ultimately win the game for the club.

___

The Dolphins head into their bye week with a record of 4-7 after winning their second game in a row against the Commanders. After returning from their off week, the Dolphins will get games against the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets. If they can come away with victories in both of those games, they’ll have a chance to get back to an even .500 record when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football in week 14. Do you think this team can go on a run once they get back on American soil? Let me know in the comments below or on Twitter at @MBrave13. Fins up!

Miami Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player | Week Eleven | Miami’s Machine

gettyimages-2243714887.jpg

The Miami Dolphins had a tougher time of disposing of the Washington Commanders on Sunday than many fans would have liked after they had trounced the Buffalo Bills by seventeen points just a week prior. However, if you’re a true fan of football, you know that wins don’t often come easy in the National Football League, especially for our Dolphins.

However, the team now gets a bye week to reflect on their first eleven games in 2025, while preparing for the final six. That’s right. Only six more games to go — unless they can somehow defeat all of their remaining opponents while getting some help in the form of losses by AFC teams ahead of them in the standings in order to make the postseason. It’s highly, highly unlikely that those things happen, but there’s a chance — albeit a slim one.

Anyway, back to this past Sunday’s clash — and back to commending one of Miami’s best performers by awarding him the MVP (Most Valuable ‘Phin) award.

Miami Dolphins Week Eleven MVP – LB Jordyn Brooks

First, let me state that it was so tempting to give this award to cornerback Jack Jones. After all, without his interception on the second offensive play of overtime, we might be lamenting another missed opportunity for Miami all throughout the bye week.

However, one defensive player’s stellar game cannot go unnoticed, and that’s why Jordyn Brooks wins this week’s MVP award.

Brooks finished Sunday’s game against Washington with twenty tackles — TWENTY TACKLES!

That mark is just four tackles shy of the single game record (held jointly by David Harris of the New York Jets and Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers). No player in the National Football League has had more tackles in a single game this season. Furthermore, no player has more tackles overall in 2025 than Brooks’ 125 takedowns. Bobby Wagner of the Commanders is a distant second with 107.

In a season filled with disappointments, Jordyn Brooks has been a consistent bright spot for the Dolphins in 2025.

Week One – RB De’Von Achane

Week Two – WR/PR Malik Washington

Week Three – RB Ollie Gordon II

Week Four – TE Darren Waller

Week Six – RB De’Von Achane

Phinsider Question Of The Day: Your Biggest Surprise Edition

gettyimages-2243319549.jpg

Well, all of us fans arrive at the bye week for our Miami Dolphins, now knowing that things have not gone to plan thus far, with maybe the exception of the last few weeks. We either didn’t expect to be a bad team with a bad roster, sitting here at 4-7, or we hoped or even expected that the team would be better than that by now. So now that we all know where this team has been and where we hope they are headed, what about things you did not expect this season?

So tonight’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is:

What is your biggest surprise of the season as it applies to your Miami Dolphins to this point? This can be a good or happy surprise, or an unwelcome surprise. Pretty much anything that you did not see coming before this mostly ugly season began.

Phinsider Question Of The Day: What Do You Want To See Going Forward Edition

We ask Miami Dolphins fans what they hope to see from the team going forward this season.

Our Miami Dolphins have mostly been a massive disappointment this season. I, for one, am not convinced that they have gotten anything correct or are going in the right direction by winning three of their last four games. Miami beat the Atlanta Falcons in blowout fashion, but the Falcons are a 3- 7 team, so yeah… Our Phins then returned the next week and, in predictable fashion, were themselves blown out by the Baltimore Ravens, where the Phins’ offense managed only 6 points. Miami then returns the next week to blow out the Buffalo Bills. Until proven otherwise, this is the big outlier in this four-game stretch. Miami against the Bills managed to put things together and play solid on both sides of the ball for the first time in a very long time. The Dolphins then returned to more of what we expect at this point, barely squeaking out a win over a very poor Commanders team.

But now what? I have seen fans who are all in on the concept that this team is going to go on a run, win out, and sneak into the playoffs in the most unlikely manner. There are others who see this as nothing but a magical fantasy and would prefer the team not win another single game in the name of securing the highest possible draft pick. Others believe that this team has zero chance of making the playoffs at this point, but would still prefer to see our Dolphins at least put up a fight and play for pride, if not for their jobs on this team or their next. But which of these ideas are you buying into going forward?

So tonight’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is:

What do you want to or need to see from this team going forward? What specifically are you looking for from the players and or coaching staff going forward? Is there something that you are looking for from a specific player, players, or unit for the remainder of the season? Are you still holding out hope for the playoffs, or are you all in on the tank for the highest possible picks, or do you fall somewhere in between?

Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season kicks off with the Buffalo Bills visiting the Houston Texans in a Thursday Night Football showdown. Both teams are looking to position themselves in the AFC playoff picture, with the Bills 7-3 on the year and in second place in the AFC East while the Texans are 5-5 and in third place in the AFC South.

When it comes to the AFC playoff standings, the Bills are fifth, the top wild-card team in the conference. For Houston, they are currently eighth, the first team on the outside looking in.

Throughout the season, our contributors here at The Phinsider have made their straight-up winners picks for every game on the schedule. Jaylen Waddle stepping up as lead receiver – The Splash Zone 11/21/25

When Tyreek Hill was lost for the season, all eyes turned towards Jaylen Waddle who has acted as the second or third option in this Miami Dolphins offense since Hill arrived. Some were skeptical if Waddle could take on that main role due to him not being a big focal point and Hill seeing more targets. But Waddle has silenced those critics and has shown he can and will be a cornerstone player for this team to build around.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

It turns out the Dolphins actually got the offer they were looking for on Jaylen Waddle at the trade deadline — but they had to say no anyway

What Week 12 game will you be watching during Miami Dolphins bye week?

gettyimages-2245003762.jpg

The Miami Dolphins take back-to-back wins into their Week 12 bye week, giving them a chance to reinforce what has worked over the last two games as they try to make an improbable run through the second half of the 2025 NFL season. While we will not have the stress and roller coaster of emotions that seem to come with every Dolphins game this year, we still have football to watch. Which games will you get to see tomorrow?

12-CBS-V3-1.png

On CBS during the early afternoon window, Florida is split with the Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs game, like most of the country, taking the top spot. However, because the Jacksonville Jaguars have a late afternoon game on CBS, the Orlando-Tallahassee-Jacksonville triangle will not have an early window game and will instead get the Jaguars at the Arizona Cardinals in the late spot.

Jim Nantz and Tony Romo are handling the commentary for the Colts-Chiefs game, while Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta will have the coverage for Jaguars-Cardinals.

Over on FOX for the early window, the majority of the country, including all of Florida, will have the Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers game. The commentary for the game will feature Joe Davis and Greg Olsen.

The late afternoon window belongs to FOX this week, with nearly the entire country picking up the Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys game. Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady have that broadcast. The Tallahassee and Pensacola markets in Florida had been scheduled to air that game, but on Thursday switched to the Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints game, with Adam Amin and Drew Brees on the call.

Sunday night’s game will feature the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Los Angeles Rams on NBC.

The Carolina Panthers visit the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.

Your Biggest Miami Dolphins Suprise To This Point

gettyimages-2245861139.jpg

With our Miami Dolphins on their bye week this week, I asked the following question;

What is your biggest surprise of the season as it applies to your Miami Dolphins to this point? This can be a good or happy surprise, or an unwelcome surprise. Pretty much anything that you did not see coming before this mostly ugly season began.

Below are some of your thoughts and answers-

Luvs2drnk gave us both sides of the coin.

I’ll give a good and bad surprise.

Good: McD getting play calls in quicker giving Tua more time to actually read the defense and finally sticking to the run game.

Bad: The defense in the first half of the season, and has anyone seen or heard from Chop Robinson? I’m starting to think we should have trade him instead of Phillips.

Bill Moody is just scarred by how it all started.

How ineffective the D-Line was out of the gate, and how unprepared the team looked, and how poorly the team played in Indy week 1.

PA phinphan was likewise shaken by the defense at the start of the season, which has since made a huge turnaround.

My biggest surprise is just how bad the defense looked in the beginning of the season. I expected them to be able to do more than they did. Lately, they are playing much better.

Although, I could say the same for the entire team.

SlayerNation1 would have lost the same bet that a lot of us would have.

Grier gone before McDaniel.

I would have lost that wager.

Otherwise, no huge surprises.

SuperG! is surprised by the cobbled-together secondary.

My biggest surprise is the CB group is actually decent. I thought as a collective they were a liability going into the season and they are surprisingly good. Even more surprising is them doing that despite being the most injured position group on the team with 6 players getting IR’d.

phinette23 recognizes that Tua is now scared of his own shadow.

Tua’s PTSD is much worse than I anticipated. He goes into the duck and cover drill when any defensive player is within 10 yards of him. This is no way to operate an offense. I know we’re stuck with him in 2026 because of obvious cap issues, but that doesn’t mean he has to be QB1.

Yarganaught has a list, including how we were all sold on how the defensive front would be the story, and they were, but for all the wrong reasons.

1) Defense – People were talking about Weaver being HC material. People were talking about how dominant our D-line was going to be. How even with a less-than-stellar backfield, it wouldn’t matter because QBs would be running scared and sacked.

2) Tua – He’s regressed, has PTSD, or something. I wondered if that mystery hip injury that kept him sidelined towards the end of last season would be an issue… I think it was. He’s improved somewhat, but mainly because MMD is putting the ball into Achane’s hands.

3) MMD – I was certain the team had abandoned him… Apparently they still want to play hard for him. He has improved a bit as a play caller and game manager, but still has a ways to go regarding halftime adjustment. New offense alignments are either “growth” or “desperation” because Hill is gone… not sure which.

4) Achane – I knew he was good… But he keeps bringing it week after week. When others might have called it a season, he kept playing hard. I’m proud of him.

USMCFinzFreak was surprised but pleased.

My biggest surprise (in a good way) was Grier, and the Dolphins parted ways.

finfanfromsiam is surprised that Achane is still able to go out there and do his magic.

Biggest surprise: McD hasnt ran Achane onto IR yet!!

Alpha6 is all in on our center, who has played awesome.

What is your biggest surprise of the season as it applies to your Miami Dolphins to this point?

Singularly: C. Aaron Brewer

As team units: the development of the run game & development of the bend-don’t-break Defense.

Honorable Mention: the Special Teams unit.

TheRoo1 is just surprised that Mike has managed to stick around.

I honestly expected McD to be gone this week.

I had hoped for, but not expected Grier to be gone.

The team ending 7=10 or 8=9 was totally expected, and still in easy range,,,,, Mediocrity forever!!!!!

Well, that’s our selection of answers for this evening. Thank you to each of you who took the time to participate in our PQOTD post. Please be sure to join us again tomorrow for the live games thread during our Miami Dolphins bye week.

NFL playoff picture: Miami Dolphins Week 12 fan rooting guide

gettyimages-2247340503.jpg

The 2025 Miami Dolphins have struggled throughout the season, sitting at 4-7. However, they are still have a playoff possibility given the state of parity that seems to have hit the AFC this year. Despite this being Miami’s bye week, the Dolphins could find themselves in even better positioning by the end of the weekend.

What needs to happen for the Dolphins this weekend? We take a look at the schedule and break down the Miami rooting guide.

AFC playoff picture (through Thursday Week 12)

1 – Denver Broncos (9-2, AFC West leader)
2 – New England Patriots (9-2, AFC East leader)
3 – Indianapolis Colts (8-2, AFC South leader)
4 – Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4, AFC North leader)

5 – Los Angeles Chargers (7-4, Wildcard 1)
6 – Buffalo Bills* (7-4, Wildcard 2)
7 – Jacksonville Jaguars (6-4, Wildcard 3)

Houston Texans* (6-5)
Kansas City Chiefs (5-5)
Baltimore Ravens (5-5)
Miami Dolphins (4-7)
Cincinnati Bengals (3-7)
Las Vegas Raiders (2-8)
New York Jets (2-8)
Cleveland Browns (2-8)
Tennessee Titans (1-9)

*Week 12 Thursday night game already played

NFL Wee 12 Miami Dolphins rooting guide

New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens

This hurts, but the Ravens are 5-5 on the season and in the 10th position, one ahead of Miami in the playoff standings. According to NFL.com, the Ravens have a 75 percent chance to make the playoffs if they win and a 55 percent chance if they lose. The Dolphins need that to drop to 55 percent, which means we have to do something no one ever wants to do.

Root for: Jets

Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears

This is pretty straightforward, and really serves as insurance over the Ravens making the playoffs above. The standard rule is to root for an NFC team to beat an AFC team, and that stands here. A Steelers loss pushes them to just 32 percent to make the postseason and would put the Ravens in a position to make the playoffs as the division winners and not take a wild card position. It feels like Miami can pass the Steelers in the wild-card hunt easier than it can a surging Ravens team.

Root for: Bears

New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals

This one is confusing. Wanting AFC East losses is the standard, but this might be the case where wanting a Patriots win makes more sense. Can Miami catch the 9-2 Patriots to win the division? Mathematically, yes, but realistically, no. The Bengals are just behind Miami in the standings, which could mean a loss would be better for the Dolphins, pushing Cincinnati further back. Miami hosts the Bengals in Week 16, so there is still a head-to-head matchup to factor into this. It almost feels like a coin toss, but I would rather keep Miami’s path to the postseason as uncluttered as possible.

Root for: Patriots

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs

The Colts are in position to run away and hide with the AFC South championship this year, while the Chiefs are stumbling around and on the outside of the postseason right now. Miami needs to pass Kansas City if they are going to make the improbable playoff run, making this an easy choice.

Root for: Colts

Seattle Seahawks at Tennessee Titans

This game really does not have any impact on Miami’s playoff chances, but we include it in the rooting guide because it still features an AFC team. We will use the NFC vs. AFC rule here to give the nod to Seattle.

Root for: Seahawks

Jacksonville Jaguars at Arizona Cardinals

One of these teams is holding the final AFC wildcard position. One of them is in the NFC. Pretty easy.

Root for: Cardinals

Cleveland Browns at Las Vegas Raiders

Both teams are 2-8 and behind Miami in the AFC playoff picture. The Raiders are closer, sitting in 13th compared to the Browns in 15th, but that is just tiebreaks – and could be switched based on the results on Sunday. There really is not much this game does, but we will give Cleveland the nod in quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ first start, just so Miami’s strength of schedule is a little better.

Root for: Browns

NFC vs. NFC games

New York Giants at Detroit Lions
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams
Carolina Panthers at San Francisco 49ers

These games have minimal impact on Miami’s playoff chances. If you want to consider strength of schedule, the Buccaneers and the Panthers winning would help Miami.

gettyimages-2231427082.jpg

Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season is here, with teams looking to position themselves for the postseason over the final seven weeks of the year. There are plenty of story lines for today’s games, including the 5-5 Kansas City Chiefs trying to fight their way into a postseason position against a surprising 8-2 Indianapolis Colts, the AFC North leading Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the NFC North leading Chicago Bears to see if Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers still owns his former division rivals, and the first start for quarterback Shedeur Sanders with the Cleveland Browns.

There are no more international games on the schedule this year, with the Miami Dolphins’ win over the Washington Commanders in Spain last week bringing to a close the morning games for the season. Miami and Washington, as well as the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers, are on their byes this weekend, leaving us with 11 afternoon games today before tonight’s Sunday Night Football game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams.

Anthony Weaver expects Chop Robinson’s “impact to be felt more”

gettyimages-2244400313.jpg

Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver met with the South Florida media on Monday ahead of the team’s clash with the New Orleans Saints this Sunday and the topic of second-year EDGE rusher Chop Robinson was brought up quickly.

When asked by Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post about Robinson’s potential to play like he did towards the end of his rookie season in 2024 when he closed the team’s final 10 games with six sacks, Weaver had this to say about his young defender:

I think you’ll feel Chop the more snaps he gets. I thought he was really close to getting a safety a week ago [against the Washington Commanders] in Madrid, and the more he’s out there, the more he kind of gets the rhythm of the game, the more impactful he’ll be for us,” said Weaver.

He continued, “I don’t necessarily know that he’s doing anything different than he was a year ago. I think his snap numbers were down just because of the players we had in that room and trying to get the best rotation, but as his numbers go up now with Jaelan [Phillips] being in Philly, I expect his impact to be felt more.

Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald followed Schad’s questioning with an inquiry to Weaver about Robinson’s ability to set the edge as a run defender, and Weaver complimented Robinson’s acumen in that area.

I trust Chop in all facets of the game. It’s not a situation in which, hey, this is a run down, get him out. I don’t feel that way at all… I know he didn’t start the last game, but that was all package based. I’m not trying to put him in as a primary cover guy, where Matt Judon has done that job throughout his entire career, so we felt comfortable there. If they would have came out in a smaller grouping, then Chop would have started the game… I’m happy with where Chop is at.

The more he’s out there, the more I expect to feel him on Sundays.

What Miami Dolphins Fans Want To See Going Forward

gettyimages-2246995430.jpg

With a bye week this past week for our Miami Dolphins, I asked the following question:

What do you want to or need to see from this team going forward? What specifically are you looking for from the players and or coaching staff going forward? Is there something that you are looking for from a specific player, players, or unit for the remainder of the season? Are you still holding out hope for the playoffs, or are you all in on the tank for the highest possible picks, or do you fall somewhere in between?

Below are some of your thougths and answers-

THEphinz wants what we have not seen from this team in a very, very long time. Consistency!

Same as before. Consistency. Not this hot and cold team. Hot and cold is a reflection of coaching. If M² really wants to stick around, then get this team playing one way every week

sdphinsfan just wants to see the guys stay healthy and for the youngins to get their reps.

I want to see a healthy team down the stretch. If the games are somewhat meaningful, that’s even better. There are so many young players who are improving from what they were to start the season. Reps, Reps, Reps. You can’t replace the value from them.

Ejplaya agrees with sdphinsfan, get the young guys their reps and see what we have.

I just want to see our young guys develop. See where we are by the end of the year with jonah, grant, etc. See what holes we’ve actually filled do we can figure out what needs addressed in the draft/off season.

SlayerNation1 has some predictions and some questions to be answered.

4-7 and almost assuredly, will go 3-3 down the stretch to settle at a cozy 7-10.

“IN THE HUNT” 👌

-Yes, the Rookie development is interesting.

-Will Weaver do enough to get HC interviews – again or does He return as would be Interim for all of 2026?

-When mathematically eliminated, will they bench Tua and what does that mean?

-Will people surrounding Ross gain influence on decision making?

I definitely do not need to see anything else for McDaniel nor Tua. They are both regressing and are 3rd in their own division respectively. That won’t improve.

The reality, We fans are already facing the specter of yet another wasted season that won’t start until Sept 2026, and then almost 2 years before Season 1 of a rebuild starts. That doesn’t even account for what the other teams in division are doing.

I urge everyone (Ownership included) to continually remind yourselves of what the rest of the AFCE is doing when predicting anything Dolphins related, long term.

The NFL is difficult to make inroads as a 3rd/4th place team in division. Yes, you are afforded playing a weaker schedule, but that only matters when there is a change for the better in the inextricable NFL foundation of GM/HC/QB.

MIAMI235 just has a simple request for Mike McDaniel.

Good play calling!

StanleyDoyle1 has three simple things: discipline (which has clearly been lacking), development from the youth, and for Tua to step up and earn that giant payday.

I want to see three things:

1. Competency in Execution. I’ve soured on McDaniel because he has not instilled a sense of discipline and competency in the team. There are too many mistakes in basic phases of the game that give the impression that he’s lazy and doesn’t instill fundamentals in practice.

2. Evolution of Youth. For once, I’d love it if the Dolphins developed their own players instead of overpaying for players developed by other teams. I want to see our draft picks blossom, show signs of dominating, to give us something to look forward to next year.

3. Manhood for Tua. I want to see Tua become a man. He acts like a kid out there, seeking everyone’s approval, trying not to offend. I want him to evoke Marino screaming at Duper. I want to see him carry the team on his shoulders for once.

Dolphster just wants to see who cares enough to step up.

Really, what I want to see the most going forward is who is going to step up and show that they are both willing and capable of being important parts of this team next year. Despite the recent win streak and a couple of winnable games coming up, this is obviously not a playoff team this year. So let’s start seeing who is going to make their presence known in an audition for next year.

USMCFinzFreak wants to see the guys play tough and Mike giving up play calling in the future.

I want to see mental and physical toughness from the players to the coaches. If McD stays, I want to see him give up play-calling.

Molly Polly II is another looking for consistency, wants to see what Dulcich has, and for Fitzpatrick to continue to ball out.

1) Consistency…from Off n Def! Rite now we still are unsure which team is showing up each week. Play calling, discipline ball (penalties), Tua quick release!

2) Dulcich….big TE, gets open, challenges def to tackle him! Great teams have great TEs! Get the pigskin in his hands.

3) Welcome home Mincah…..I strongly believe he has impacted the game play of our DBs. Defense wins ballgames! Please continue the aggressive defense play..bring back the “NO NAME DEFENSE!” YEAH BABEEEEEEE!!!🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬

4) Playoff run remains a possibility!! Again, #1 stated above. Let’s go for it everyone else has counted us out! Who knows, just maybe Mr Kelly providing inspiration to our Finz!

dedstrk ends our selection of comments with a plea for the team to keep playing physical till the end.

I want to continue to see physical football. Tackling, running, blocking. I want to build that base of what a great football is supposed to be. If we can do that then I’ll be happy.

Well, that’s our random selection of comments this evening. As always, thank you to each of you who took the time to answer our question of the day. Please join us again tomorrow evening for another PQOTD.

Tua Tagovailoa visits patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

gettyimages-2245870905.jpg

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has his fair share of fans, as well as his fair share of detractors. His 2025 season for the Dolphins has been an up-and-down campaign, but there’s one area where Miami’s left-handed signal-caller earns the highest of praise — and that’s for his efforts in the community.

On Tuesday, Tagovailoa and his wife Annah visited patients at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida on behalf of the quarterback’s Tua Foundation — an organization dedicated to youth initiatives and other charitable causes.

In a post made to the hospital’s Instagram page (@JDCHospital), the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital thanked Tua and Annah Tagovailoa for sharing “the warmth of the aloha spirit with [their] patients and families” ahead of Thanksgiving, noting that many children in the facility will be spending the holiday away from “home and holiday traditions.”

In one slide, the Dolphins quarterback can be seen playing the guitar while a young patient named Maliyah sang “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran alongside Tagovailoa.

The post also noted that the Tua Foundation packed and provided “dozens of caregiver kits and Thanksgiving meals for families” staying in the hospital during the holiday season.

While the 27-year-old remains a polarizing figure in the eyes of many for his play on the field, it’s safe to assume we can all agree that Tagovailoa seems like a stand-up guy for his generous off-field charitable contributions within the South Florida community.

Phinsider Question Of The Day: New Orleans Saints @ Miami Dolphins Predictions/Players You Would Steal

gettyimages-1409583509.jpg

I have to assume, with the Thanksgiving Day holiday tomorrow and the long upcoming weekend for most of us, that it will be a bit slow in here tonight, but we will still ask our weekly question before our Miami Dolphins play a game. I also assume that some of you here this evening won’t make it back here tomorrow evening. To you folks, I hope that you enjoy your day off and time with your family, and Happy Thanksgiving to each of you!

With that, this evening’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is:

What are your predictions for the upcoming game between your Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints? Final score? MVP of the game? Other bold predictions? Additionally, which New Orleans Saints players would you, if you could, steal to place on the Miami Dolphins roster?

Please give us your thougths and answers in the comments section below-
