The Bulls updated Rose's status Saturday, one day after the former league MVP suffered the injury against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Rose underwent an MRI, which revealed a medial meniscus tear in his knee.

The three-time All-Star missed all of last season after suffering an injury to his left knee in the 2012 playoffs.

He's out for another season... that sucks big time. All these injuries wouldn't be as big of a deal if he was older, but he should be in his prime right about now.
 
Derrick Rose is an amazing player, so the NBA is missing out on someone who has the potential to be one of the best in the game. It is sad. Also, Chicago wants to build their team around him, but it looks like they can't. You have to question what the Bulls are planning in the future. The Bulls need to trade Luol Deng now.
