Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears QB, broke his thumb in his throwing hand yesterday in a win over the Chargers. He was trying to make a tackle after an interception he threw, and landed awkwardly on his hand. He is likely to miss the rest of the regular season, and could possibly miss the entire season including postseason. Caleb Hanie is the new QB for the Bears.
I think they'll be okay. They obviously wont be as good with Hanie, but Hanie actually isn't that bad. And their defense and special teams is playing outstanding right now, so they don't even need as much offense as some teams do.
He's getting surgery on it now......I'd assume he'll miss at least the rest of the regular season, and a good chance of missing part if not all of the post season too.
The Bears have placed a waiver claim for Kyle Orton. I actually hope they just play Hanie for now, I think he will do better since he's been with the Bears system for a few years. Yeah Orton was on the Bears like 3 years ago, but he had a different offensive coordinator and it was a whole different offensive scheme.
Grand opening was pushed back once again, we'll just say it's TBA for now. We are still waiting on the completion of some custom development that has been in the works.
