Colts Sign Ahmad Bradshaw

The Indianapolis Colts and running back Ahmad Bradshaw agreed to one-year deal Tuesday.

Terms of the contract weren't announced, but a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the deal pays him a $250,000 signing bonus and $1.1 million in base salary.

The former New York Giants star and unrestricted free agent visited the Colts' team complex last Thursday and had been negotiating with the team since.

Adding the 27-year-old Bradshaw gives the Colts depth in the backfield, if not a starter.

This is awesome. Our run game has struggled ever since we lost Edgerrin James, honestly I'd say the best it's been since then is decent at times. Last year we added Vick Ballard to help improve it, and now we have Ballard, Donald Brown, and Bradshaw all as possible starters. I would love to see a RB trio threat this next season to help Luck out. Love this signing. We also got Darrius Heyward-Bey earlier in the off-season.

I don't really feel like Bradshaw is going to pan out with the Colts. He has been a mediocre running back for a while now. He's worth taking a chance on, but I think the Colts will probably end up mainly using Ballard and Brown.
