I was watching the pregame for the Redwings @ Blackhawks game a few minutes ago when they went ice level for the National Anthem, which was ok. I was absolutely stunned at the class and respect or lack there of the Chicago fans showed while it was being song. They were clapping and making noise throughout the whole thing, which from I have seen at the various sporting events that I have been to is considered rude and highly unacceptable.

That is just plain wrong.yea seriously, someone forgot to teach all of them what it means to respect our country
, among other things. :o I don't like Chicago to start with being a Wings fan, but this just pushed it over the top and took it to another level.

Who would like Chicago? lol
They have the Bulls...Meh..
They have the Cubs...When was the last time they won the World Series..? lol
Then the Bears, they don't win much.

just shows how classy some cities are. Then again, its Chicago, what do you expect?

During the NHL playoffs in 05-06 in the Oilers VS Sharks series the Sharks fans actually booed the Canadian anthem. That as low as a fan can get.

But they're an American team aren't they?

They are American, but booeing another nations anthem is over the top disrespectful. And to Canada of all countries. The Oil fans haven't once booed a national anthem.

at the start of the minor league season we have the Canadian national anthem along with USA national anthem and our fans have never booed the Canadian

cmt I'm 99% sure.

Kwings:The only one I know of that booed the anthem was the Sharks. In the Pens game today it was dead quiet for both anthems thats how it should be .But sometimes the fans take over for the singer. Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with that.watch or go to blackhawks game and you will see and hear what i mean. They don't boo it, but they are extremely loud during it. That to me is another form of disrespect that is almost as bad, if not worse then booing a national anthem, especially when it's yours.

I missed todays game. I'll try to watch thenext one to see what you mean, but I think I already know. I agree that talking and being loud is dissrespectful, but not as much as actually booing any anthem.

I guess Blackhawk fans aren't very patriotic anymore...
