SAN ANTONIO -- Miami Heat star Chris Bosh has been fined $5,000 for flopping during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

The NBA announced the fine on Friday. The play happened midway through the second quarter with the Heat leading 41-32.

Bosh was trailing Spurs forward Tim Duncan as the two headed back down the court when Duncan established post position in the paint. As Spurs guard Gary Neal approached with the dribble, Duncan posted up a late-arriving Bosh to try to seal him away from the play. Bosh flailed his arms and fell to the ground.

Duncan was whistled for a foul on the play, which wiped away a layup for Neal.

Bosh had 20 points and 13 rebounds in the win that evened the series at two games apiece.

Awesome flop. Well worth the money. :P

After Lebrons flopping in the series against the Pacers I don't think NBA fans can bash soccer players for diving anymore. Neither can hockey fans after the way the Canucks have been flopping the past few seasons.

I'm actually glad the NBA punishes it's players for this. But 5K to a multimillionaire is like 5 dollars to me or you...

As for this, I don't think it was a flop. Looks more like he got tripped by Wade.

They need to up the fines for flopping. If I was making as much money as Chris Bosh, I would flop all over the court knowing only $5000 fines are coming my way.

All players flop. I don't think it should be against the rules to begin with. Sometimes fooling the referee is part of the game. :P

I don't think any professional sport has room for flopping. You are getting paid based on your talent to play the game, not to flop around in the playoffs so you can win.

Just about any sport involves trying to fool the referee to get the call in your favor. As to whether it's called flopping or not, it's the same game.
