Chris Andersen to re-sign with Heat

Chris Andersen, key off the bench as a source of energy during the Heat's championship run last season, has committed to re-signing with Miami as soon as Wednesday, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Anderson will receive a one-year deal worth approximately $1.7 million, with a player option on a second year, according to a source close to the player.

Anderson drew interest from three teams, but the source said that "Miami was always No. 1" after he emerged as the Heat's best big man after joining the team in January.

I am very happy to hear this, but I think we still need to sign another big man.

I hate Chris Anderson, but he actually played a pretty big role with the Heat throughout the playoffs.
