Sorry for the influx of threads tonight. Saw this in ESPN the Magazine's issue on Boston's titles. And I quote:
"A lot of people would like to change the Chase tracks a little," says Matt Kenseth, who'se made the cut seven times. "We run the same races pretty much every year."
And I quote again:
The most vehement push has been to add a road course to the all-oval Chase lineup, particularly as Watkins Glen and Sonoma have become two of NASCAR's most entertaining events. "The Chase should represent the regular season," says Jeff Gordon. "The one little thing it's missing is a road course."
My question: Should NASCAR change the Chase schedule to add a road course race? Quite a few races take place on so-called "cookie cutter" tracks. When I say "cookie cutter", I mean tracks that are one-and-a-half miles long and are tri-ovals.
