After a dominant 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames to open their home stand, the Montreal Canadiens were right back in action less than 24 hours later against the Florida Panthers. With a chance to take the lead in the Atlantic division, they put up a touchdown on the defending Stanley Cup champions, winning 6-2 to take that lead, at least for the time being. There was a lot going on last…

LOL oh great, more Habs content on my feed. You guys really out here celebrating beating the Panthers like you won the Cup or something? 😂

Look I gotta give credit where credit's due though - dropping 6 on the defending champs is pretty solid, not gonna lie. And taking the Atlantic lead? Good for you guys. Enjoy it while it lasts because we all know how this story usually ends for Montreal.

That Guhle kid coming back is actually legit though. Missing 39 games is brutal and having a solid defensive presence back is gonna help. Detroit ain't no joke this year so that's gonna be a good test to see if he's really ready to go.

But can we talk about how the Laval stuff is basically just filler content? Like cool, your AHL team beat Rochester, congrats I guess. The Amerks are literally our affiliate so now I gotta hear about this too 🙄

Anyway, good luck against Detroit. You're gonna need it because that team has been playing with some serious fire lately. Seider and Raymond are absolute STUDS and if Guhle is even a little rusty coming back from surgery they're gonna exploit that all night long.

Still not as exciting as watching Josh Allen carve up defenses but hey, hockey's alright I suppose. GO SABRES (even though we're probably gonna disappoint me again this year like always).

On Thursday afternoon, Kati Tabin received the call of a lifetime. The Montreal Victoire defender received the news on a Zoom call with Team Canada’s coaching and management team. The person breaking the news was her PWHL head coach Kori Cheverie, who is also an assistant with the Canadian national team: She was going to the 2026 Olympics. “I think my first words were ‘holy shit’…

A hectic start to 2026 continued for the Laval Rocket on Saturday as they rolled down I-90 in New York for a Saturday evening showdown with the Syracuse Crunch. The Rocket fended off a fierce effort by the Rochester Americans on Friday on the back of a 47-save effort by Kaapo Kähkönen. Friday night’s win ensured that Laval would hold on to first place this weekend regardless of the result against…

Start time: 7:30 PM EST / 4:30 PM PST In the Canadiens region: RDS (French) Streaming: Prime Monday Night Hockey The Vancouver Canucks weren’t supposed to be this bad. They had amassed a number of promising players in recent years, making a top-10 selection every year from 2016 to 2019. The best of those picks was Quinn Hughes, a steal at sixth overall in 2018 who went on to win the Norris…

Looking to close their four-game home stand with a bang, the Montreal Canadiens lined up for Amazon Prime’s Monday night hockey against the Vancouver Canucks. Despite controlling play through two periods, they found themselves tied up at three apiece, but pulled away in the third period to earn a 6-3 win. Their home record has left something to be desired this season, but that win gave them…

Since signing Alexandre Texier, both sides have been happy with the union, and so they have agreed to extend it. The team and Texier agreed to a two-year contract extension on Wednesday. The extension was announced by his agent, Dan Milstein and confirmed by the team. The AAV will be $2.5 million, which is higher than the $1,000,000 cap hit he currently carries, but is well within…

Start time: 7:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM PST In the Canadiens region: TSN2 (English), RDS (French) In the Sabres region: MSG Buffalo Streaming: ESPN+, RDS, TSN+ The outlook was bleak for the Buffalo Sabres two months into the season. Already in a 14-year playoff drought, an 11-14-4 record on December 8 had them on their way to a 15th. The fans in Buffalo had gone from upset at their team to just…

The Montreal Canadiens have sent Owen Beck and Jacob Fowler to the Laval Rocket on Friday morning. Fowler played and lost on Thursday night against the Buffalo Sabres. With Jakub Dobeš and Samuel Montembeault seemingly back in form, Fowler’s subpar performance against the Sabres made it seem like the right time to end the three goaltender rotation. Fowler provided a boost to the team…

LOL gotta love the Habs giving Texier that extension right before we came in and reminded everyone what real hockey looks like! 😤

Look, I'll give Montreal credit where it's due - Texier at $2.5M AAV is actually a pretty reasonable deal for them. Not gonna lie, the kid can play. But let's be real here, that Sabres game recap is what I'm here for!

Finally seeing our boys turn things around after that rough December stretch. 11-14-4 was PAINFUL to watch, trust me. But this team has the talent, they just needed to figure it out. And hey, when you've been waiting 14 years for playoff hockey, you learn to find the silver linings wherever you can find them.

As for Fowler getting sent down - smart move by Montreal honestly. When you got Dobeš and Montembeault playing well, no point keeping three goalies up there burning roster spots. Kid will get more playing time in Laval anyway.

But seriously, can we talk about how the narrative is ALWAYS about how bad Buffalo's drought is? Yeah we know, we LIVE it every day! Meanwhile Montreal's been rebuilding for years too and everyone acts like they're perpetually one piece away from contention. Give me a break! 🙄

At least our future is looking bright with guys like... well, you know who I'm gonna say... JOSH ALLEN ENERGY is what this Sabres team needs! Different sport, same city, same WINNING MENTALITY!

Go Sabres! 🦬
