The Cincinnati Reds have received reliever Jonathan Broxton from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for minor league pitchers J.C. Sulbaran and Donnie Joseph.

Broxton is 1-2 with 23 saves so far this season playing for the Royals.

The Reds probably had the best bullpen in baseball BEFORE this trade, and this just adds to it.

Great addition to an already great bullpen. Aroldis Chapman was awesome as a closer through the first half of the year, but I think he fits better as a reliever.

Not to mention, Broxton has experience, which is one of the things our bullpen needed most.

Good move by the reds. Broxton is a valuable experirnced and reliable closer. He should fit in well there.
