Browns 2026 schedule: Set to face 6 new head coaches in 8 games next year

The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of their head coaching search with no end in sight, especially due to the NFL’s rules limiting interview opportunities. On the same day that a former Browns head coach hung up his whistle, Mike Tomlin threw most everyone for a surprise when he stepped down as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Houston Texans joining the Cleveland Browns in history at the expense of the Steelers might have had something to do with Tomlin’s decision.

Now, the Browns 2026 schedule looks a little different with six of the teams they will face, including two in the AFC North on the schedule twice, on the lookout for new head coaches:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Tennessee Titans
  • New York Giants
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Atlanta Falcons

Of note, former Cleveland HC Kevin Stefanski has already interviewed with the Ravens, Titans, Giants, and Falcons from that list. New York, Atlanta, and Tennessee are also considered among the favorites for John Harbaugh, the top name on almost everyone’s candidate list.

It seems likely that the NFL head coaching carousel will not gain any more open seats this offseason, but that still means almost half of Cleveland’s 2026 schedule will be against teams breaking in new coache,s with a lot of other changes around those teams.
