Blues sign veteran netminder to 2-year extension

The St. Louis Blues were quite strong in the second half of the regular season last year, and their success allowed them to make the playoffs under first-year head coach Jim Montgomery. The Blues tightened defensively and scored enough clutch goals to finish with a winning record and give the team a strong jumping off point for the 2025-26 season. The Blues are quite secure with their goaltending, and the team signed backup goal Joel Hofer to a contract extension. Hofer and the Blues came to an agreement on a two-year, $6.8 million deal after the goalie appeared in 31 games last season.

Blues Unveil New Logo, Uniforms

The St. Louis Blues have worn more or less the same primary uniforms for more than a decade now, only making minor changes in that time. On Tuesday, the Blues unveiled their new primary logo and uniforms, inspired heavily by the team's heritage. The new primary home uniform is essentially their previous third uniform being promoted, while the primary road uniform is very similar to the one they wore for the 2022 Winter Classic, albeit with white as the main color instead of cream. “The heritage jersey reflects the rich, compelling history of the St. Louis Blues, and it is one of the most classic jerseys in the National Hockey League,” Blues chairman Tom Stillman said, per the team's website.

Sabres Potential Trade Partner: St. Louis Blues

The Buffalo Sabres continue to be focused on as a team that will make a notable trade or two this off-season. Sabres GM. Kevyn Adams kicked things off last month with the trading of up-and-coming winger J.J, Peterka to the Utah Mammoth for winger Josh Doan and defenseman Michael Kesselring. but with due respect to Kesselring and Doan, they aren't going to be needle-movers that push Buffalo into a post-season berth next year.
