The Big East has added Houston, SMU, and Central Florida out of Conference USA to there conference to replace leaving members Syracuse, Pitt, and West Virginia.

They are also adding Boise St. and San Diego St. out of the Mountain West conference, but only for football.

The Big East will now be a coast-to-coast conference.....

Thoughts?

That's upsetting. Pitt and West Virginia were always the most exciting games.

But I guess having Houston and Boise St. is gonna be pretty sweet.

Yeah, especially Houston. They were waaaay overrated. Their last game, against Southern Miss, was plenty of evidence to prove that.

Yeah I don't think they're gonna do all that good anymore. :P

I guess they can't even really be called the BIG EAST anymore, since a lot of their teams aren't even in the East. So how many teams are left in the CUSA?

They're gonna be the same as they always were, except for the winning games part.

Now, according to sources, the Big East is close to a deal that would put Memphis in their conference for all sports in 2013.

I went to Pitt and I could not be any happier that Pitt is getting out of the Big East. The football programs are just a joke and the Big East needs to be removed from an automatic bid in the BCS. While Big East basketball has always been the best, or at least top two (ACC). Now Pitt and Syracuse are heading to the ACC, so the Big East is left with almost nothing in either sport. The Big East is becoming slowly irrelevant.
