MILWAUKEE -- Baseball will be making major changes in the next two years -- adding two teams to the playoffs, moving the Houston Astros to the American League and extending interleague play to September.

The expanded playoffs could come as early as next year. That will put 10 teams in the postseason, requiring a new wild-card playoff round that probably will be one game, winner take all.

The MLB will be drastically changing in the next few years with this news. I really like the idea of 10 teams in the playoffs. I also really like that there will be interleague play all season long.

Thoughts?

I'm kinda excited that the Astros are moving to the AL....the Twins will get to play on their epic field more often.

I like the idea of 10 teams in the playoffs, I think it'll make it more exciting, and give more teams a chance to prove that the best record isn't everything, kinda like the Cards did this season, only now it'll be even better.

Also, I love interleague play, so overall, I'd say these changes are good, I like them.

I've always wanted more interleague play, but I just hope that it doesn't get too common.

Nice there's more interleague play and with the extra playoff spots the Mariners have a better chance to make it now.

I actually don't really like it...remember how epic the last day of the season was last year? In two years that won't happen :P

One thing i wish they would do is at least make it so that wild card teams CANNOT host the world series :P

I don't really like the idea of more playoffs, it would make the playoff race a lot less tight.

Same with more interleague play. Interleague should be a one time thing, not all year.

Well they had to extend interleague play because now there are 15 teams in each league...so if everyone plays every day there has to be at least one interleague game.
