Who do you think is the best football player of all time? What reason do you have for your choice?
 
I don't really follow soccer that much, but all I ever hear about is Pele. But a lot of people think Lionel Messi could surpass him after his career.
 
Pele was definitely the best there had ever been before Messi, now you can argue about who's the best. I think the Pele-Messi debate will go on for a long time, just like the Jordan-Lebron debate will.
 
I think Pele should still currently be considered the best of all-time, but I feel like the majority of people will soon consider Messi the best. It's just a matter of time.
 
I think it's between Pele and Messi. I haven't seen Pele play in person but for me, without a doubt Messi is the best player of this generation. I am not sure I could pick between the two though.
 
I would go for Ronaldo (Brazilian legend). I think that he is the best striker that will ever be, and his only problem that he was injury prone, otherwise he would have smashed many records (he is the all time time world cup scorer with 15 goals in all his world cup games)
 
I'm going to have to go with David Beckham. He's a personal favourite of mine. Indeed, I have watched a ton of his games, so his skill shines very much to me. However, even if he does make a few mistakes, nobodies perfect and we can't just say he's not one of the best player's out there. I also quite like Messi as he is a very daring player and is always found at the head of a play. To him, he always wants to score, and that motivation is what drives the team he plays for forwards.
 
I would have to go with Messi. Pele was amazing, but Messi is out of this world. Think about his streak of 19 straight goals in 19 games, and also all those games were against different teams! That is unheard of and I don't think anybody will be able to match that streak.
 
You know this is a tough question. I am not surprised with everyone saying Messi. I think there are a LOT of great players out there. I'll just name my top few: John Terry, Messi, Maradona, and Pele. My favorites right there. :)
 
Pele of course. If you had seen him in the stadium, you would have been at least excited! I am a fan and I think that he was the best. He wanted to play all the time. He couldn't stop playing soccer. I like him!
 
I like Pele as a player and Messi as well but Messi just doesn't excite me as much as Ronaldo who not only goes for goals but makes them spectacular.
 
I do not really follow soccer that much. But from what I have seen/heard, I think Maradona and Pele were quite good.
