Any Volleyball Players?

Hey!
So, I was just wondering: Is there any volleyball players on here? I feel like it is a sport that people won't play just because they feel it is "girly"

Yes, I am on my high school team and it is a harder sport than most people think.

I don't play volleyball. I have played it with my friends a few times, and like tigerd98 said, it actually is a difficult sport. I sometimes struggled just to get the volleyball over the net. :lol:

I play volleyball, so much fun. I like being in front row best. Spiking is so my thing. However, I neeed to work on my sets. I play for a provincial team by the way. Competitive of course.

I played volleyball when I was in the 7th and 8th grade (played for the school team) and I really enjoyed it. If I remember correctly, I was the only short setter on the team at that time. I really miss those days and sometimes I wish I could go back to that time.

It's a good thing to be a short setter occasionally because sometimes when the play is getting more intense, you can get to the ground quicker So obviously there is the advantage to that. Also, if you're a great jumper and short it's awesome to be a spiker and surprise the team when you get it right over their net! I've found that sometimes it can score a few easy points.

I play volleyball and I think I'm pretty good at it, sometimes I think I'm a natural. But I still miss up serving and hitting the ball every now and then. I think I'm tall enough to spike but I just get terrified about the fact that my fingers can get crushed if another person tries to spike it at the same time as me.

I don't believe any sport can be girly. Those who say a sport is girly are either just messed up in the head or sexist. I've heard people say that Cross Country and Track is a " gay " sport ._.

I used to play volleyball a few years ago, I think it is a great game.

I played volleyball for our PE in my college days. I see it as a fun but difficult sport. It was funny in our time because we were all afraid to hit the ball, so our classmates who were varsity players keep on getting the ball. Now that I am teaching, I seldom play volleyball, but I love to watch volleyball tournaments.
