The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Wednesday they have released veteran defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.

Haynesworth was claimed off waivers from New England in November, after Gerald McCoy suffered a season-ending injury and several other defensive linemen were banged up. Haynesworth played in seven games, starting six, and recorded 25 tackles.

Wow, surprise, surprise. Honestly, I'm not sure if someone else is going to pick him up again. His career might be over. I don't see anyone picking him up this off-season anyways. Perhaps in the middle of the season.

I don't think anyone will pick him up till midway through the season, if that.

He's far past his peak. If I were him I'd probably just retire if he doesn't get picked up before the start of the season.

Yeah, and it's not like he's desperate for money or anything. The Redskins certainly set him up for retirement when they wasted all that money on him.
