A-Rod injured

New York Yankees thirdbaseman Alex Rodrigez has fractured his left hand after being hit by Felix Hernadez's pitch in last night's game against the Mariners.

Hernandez hit 3 of the last 5 batters he faced. He said after the game that his command was off all night.

There is no estimate to how long he'll be out yet.

This is a pretty big loss for the Yankees. A-rod was heating up after a some-what disappointing first half.

I watched the highlight of this on SportsCenter. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. I think the Yankees have the AL East in the bag this year, unfortunately. I think they'll still win the division even if they go without Alex Rodriguez for the rest of the season.

Rodrigez will be out 6-8 weeks, according to doctors.

Even with A-Rod out, they'll probably stay 1st in the division. They have enough great players to where one injury won't hurt them much.

I was watching this game, as I'm a Mariners fan. The sound was so nasty, I immediately knew it was a break. :c But everyone's right, I doubt this will hurt the Yankees too much, Chavez is a decent fill in.

Chavez is a beast. I could care less that A-Rod is injured. As a Yankee fan, I don't really like him. He's my least favourite Yankee.
