The first thing that I want to say here is that no matter how much you may care about or know someone, you never have the right or the authority to diagnose someone else with a drinking problem. The only thing you can do is talk to them about how their drinking affects you, and how you are worried about them. Whether or not they have a problem is for them, and them alone, to decide.
 
Your advice is measuredly refreshing. It would be counterproductive to antagonize a person deemed to have a drinking problem. They may worsen their drinking in retaliation.
 
This is more like minding your business. You would always be friends with people that are addicted to something's but you need to advised them with caution
 
Yea. You need to be mindful that addiction is a health condition just like any other. Thus avoid stigmatizing these folks, if you want to help them get out.
