5 Things You Will (or Won't) Miss About School...

I live for lunch. Honestly that and home room are the only things I truly enjoy at school.

I hang out with my friends enough in the summer, so I'll only miss them a little....

And I agree with HRS, I'm only a freshman, but the 3 years in middle school flew by, I dont think 4 years is going to take much longer....hopefully I can take some college AP classes and get ahead...

Oh, and I miss recess.

To me, lunch is recess. All I ever did at my old school (once they banned the "older" kids from the park) was talk with my friends in the corner because they put us in an empty field with one football and the guys wouldn't let us play. I don't miss middle school all that much because I went to a small private school and I was with the same 30 kids since kindergarten (give or take a few). I love high school I'm going to miss it once it's gone but I know college will be great. I can't believe it's already halfway into my sophmore year. Next year might just suck a little because I'm taking like 4 AP classes and of course there is the daunting ACT (testing is not my strong suit...)

I'm definitely not looking forward to the ACT either. I consider myself extremely intelligent (:P), but when it comes to tests, I'm slow and nervous. Two traits that aren't good when the test is timed. I for one don't feel a timed test is a good way to decide someone's intelligence. But that's what it is. You do well on it, you're guaranteed a good university, you do bad on it, you'll end up at some small state college in the middle of no where. I also have high expectations, my older brother scored a thirty, so I have to follow-suit.

Agreed 100%. I'm probably the smartest kid in my class, but always finish tests dead last or second to last. A lot of the time I don't even have time to finish them.
Yeah I hate always having to rush to finish at the end of class, because the teacher won't let me finish the next day.

Yeah, for example, I just took a History test on Tuesday. I was really rushed and couldn't finish the last sentence, which is what stopped me from getting a 100%...

@cmt: sister scored a 29, I see where you are coming from. I'm terrible at testing (I agree. I consider myself quite intelligent as well) especially when they are timed. Oh you give me an hour? 60 questions? Oh well this paragraph geometry problem is going to take me 5 minutes to read and completely understand...So I may need a pass to my next class.
 
haha! I supposed an 86% isn't terrible but I was really excited to get my test back because I really thought I did great but it wasn't what I wanted so...I'm a little disappointed. Besides I need an "A" in geometry because it was my only "B" last semester and yeah I'm not a "B" student. :o
 
I think the best I've ever gotten in a math class was a 92% in 5th grade...but then I stopped taking school that seriously, and have since gotten all B's in math, which is fine with me. I don't plan on my profession having anything to do with any kind of math anyway...
 
Yeah, I basically get straight A's in everything except for Math. I got an 80 last quarter, so it's not bad at all, but there's room for improvement.
 
Well see the reason I got a B in geometry first semester was because I never did my homework (because it wasn't required and I'm in honors classes I have other thing to get done) so I finished the semester with an 87% after numerous extra credit opportunities haha

That bad huh?I'm neutral on it. My school isn't uh great, you say the name and people just look at you like really you to "that school". It isn't as bad as many think, but I am an honors student so I avoid a lot of the trash.
 
I know what you mean. I go to a relatively new school (just graduated our first seniors last year) but my cousins go to an older school in the community that isn't in the best part of town and when people hear the name they go "oh that school? where that one guy did that one thing??" It really isn't that bad you just can't associate yourself with the wrong people I mean my school has "bad" people as well.
