2012 rule changes

The NFL has made a few rule changes starting in the 2012 season. First off the overtime rules will be extended into the regular season, and they will now automatically review turnovers.

Honestly, is it really necessary to make these changes? It's good that the playoff overtime rules will be extended to the regular season though, as that was just really stupid to have different overtime systems between the regular season and the playoffs. I don't like all the reviewing though. I don't like that they are reviewing every touchdown, and I don't think I will like that they will review every turnover now.

I wish they would just ditch this new overtime system and go to the College Overtime Rules.

Yeah, the overtime rules are stupid either way. It's kind of like hockey shootouts in a way; it used to be like a sudden death shootout, but now it's like a (somewhat) fair shootout.

And I'm also not a fan of reviewing everything. Let the players play the game!

So many reviews being added. Personally, the challenges take up enough of my watching time already.

The only reason they add the reviews is to squeeze more commercials into the game...
