Steve Kerr Shuts Down Concerns About Al Horford’s Shooting Slump

Al Horford of the Golden State Warriors is one of the most respected and accomplished big men currently in the NBA.

But right now, Horford isn’t a huge help to his team.

He is in the midst of a pretty significant shooting slump, and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke about it on Wednesday night.

Kerr admitted that Horford isn’t shooting well, but urged the star player to keep trying.

“Just gotta keep playing. I thought Al played a great basketball game tonight. The ball didn’t go in. He took all the right shots. They all looked good. They’re going to go in. He’s Al Horford. We know what kind of shooter he is. Slow start for him, to be expected, honestly, when you go to a new team. I’m not worried about Al at all,” Kerr said.
Al Horford is 5-of-24 from 3 six games into his Warriors tenure. He missed all seven tonight.

It’s good that Kerr isn’t worried about Horford, because some fans are.

On Wednesday, he produced zero points, although he was good for seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

The silver lining for the Warriors is that the team typically has a strong offense, which means they have other options if Horford is ice-cold.

But they definitely want him to find his shot as soon as possible.

When he was signed by the team, fans were excited to see how he could dominate in the paint and assist off the bench.

However, they also envisioned him as a strong offensive threat, too.

It’s only been a few games, and Horford has plenty of time to get on the right track.

But the Warriors want a string of consecutive wins, so the sooner he starts shooting well, the better.

Kevin Durant Fires Back At Draymond Green For Championship Remarks

There was a time when Kevin Durant and Draymond Green were teammates, helping the Golden State Warriors become the best squad in the NBA.

Today, they are playing for opposing teams and sometimes butting heads.

Durant recently said that a team’s offense wins championships, and that didn’t sit right with Green.

He fired back, stating that defense is incredibly important when it comes to claiming a title.

Durant responded, once again sticking to his opinion that offense is vital.

“And the offense was????” Durant posted on X.

This is a conflict that may continue for some time, because these are two NBA players who aren’t afraid of stating their minds and sharing their opinions, no matter who it upsets.

Durant was a crucial part of the Warriors from 2016 to 2019.

During that time, he helped them win two championships and was named Finals MVP during their back-to-back title runs.

He was a sensation on offense during that time, averaging 25.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.

But there is no doubt that the Warriors won their championships because both their offense and defense were strong.

They wouldn’t have claimed their Finals wins if they weren’t delivering on both ends of the court.

In the years since his departure, Durant’s relationship with the Warriors has been complicated, to put it gently.

There have been rumors of him not being happy with the team, and rumored trades that would have sent him back to Golden State have been shot down.

This latest back-and-forth with Green is sure to fire up speculation and rumors about Durant, the Warriors, and their legacy.
