I thought this thread would be a good idea; just post random fun facts here.

I'll start:

  • It takes about 11.5 days to count to 1 million if you say a different number every second.
  • If you count non-stop, saying a different number every second, for a whole year, you will get to 31.5 million.
  • It takes about 31.5 years to count to 1 billion if you say a different number every second.

American Airlines saved $40,000 in 1987 by eliminating 1 olive from each salad served in first-class.

Average life span of a major league baseball: 7 pitches.

Thats crazy! A ROMLB costs about $14. That means each pitch costs like $2!

They're alot cheaper for the MLB...

Seeing as all the baseball companies would love to be able to be the official baseball provider of the MLB, I am sure the MLB gets their baseballs for free; well, an exchange really. Amazing advertising for the baseball company and the MLB saves money. Even if that were not to be the case, the MLB probably buys their baseball in such huge bulk amounts that they probably don't even pay a dime a baseball.

Fun Fact: The first forum theme (that wasn't the default ProBoards theme) was added on Cmt Sports Forum on July 29th, 2009 by former administrator, David. Now, did he make the theme? I don't think so, but I surprisingly don't know. This theme wouldn't last very long, it was later replaced less than a week later by a theme created by another former administrator, Era of Blood.

i thought i remember seeing one of these threads a while back here.

Redbird II(Wings/Tigers plane) can't fly out West without having to stop for fuel. Appearance it pissed Modano off.

Identical twins don't have the same fingerprints. Giraffes are 30 times more likely to get hit by lightning than people. Earth's rotation is changing speed.

I thought it was an exaggeration or something that happened to a specific person, but if we, who are in different parts of the world, were told the same thing, it must be true, I suppose.
