Is LeBron James the best basketball player today?

For some it's true, for others it isn't, but I'd like you to tell me if you think LeBron James is the best basketball player today. What do you think?

Definitely LeBron James. Disregard Steph Curry’s 2015 mvp, and all the other players that have won mvp during LeBron’s prime. Don’t get me wrong; Steph Curry is a great player and so was everyone else. But everyone who knows anything about basketball will tell you whoever gets the mvp is not the best player

He was the best, but he's 41 now. Probably not in the top 10 this year. Some better guys include Joker, SGA, Wemby, Luka, Cade, Anthony Edwards, etc.

Good point. Unfortunately, he's reached an age where he'll have to retire soon. It's a shame, but at least he'll retire as an incredible legend. We'll see which of those you mentioned will be the new legend of this new generation.

Saying LeBron James is the hottest right now is iffey topic based on the numbers for this 2026 season. Although he is still playing a significant role at 41 years old, statistics showing that younger stars are starting to take over the league.
