Yankees have designated Vernon Wells for assignment. If he is not claimed I believe that makes him a free agent? Which team or teams would be interested in him? He would come cheap I assume as the Yankees,Angels,and The Blue Jays are all responsible for the remainder left on his 126 million dollar extension he signed back when he was with the Jays.

The Rays are done with Luke Scott, and we have a history of going after washed up players for the designated hitter position. Vernon Wells might be our guy.
