What is the difference between a box to box midfielder and a central midfielder?

I always hear about a box to box midfielder. I know they are the runners in midfield. They help the defensive midfielder and the attacking midfielder. But when you look at the field of play, a traditional central midfielder does almost similar role.

Is there a different between the roles of the two kinds of midfielders?
