Overall 8/10
This game was overall pretty nice. Although the cars seem unbalanced in Class A and the physics seem illogical, the game is otherwise outstanding. This is a racing game, but with an added twist: explosions. While driving, you must dodge or trigger "Power Plays" which cause explosions or an object to block part of a pathway. Some even change the route you take through the course. Overall, Split Second delievers an intense, fast-paced racing experiece

Gameplay 7/10

My main problem with the gameplay was the physics; when you're going 300 mph, you think you might crash through concrete, right? Apparently you don't. The cars make outrageous jumps which look impossible, and barely touching a wall at maximum speed completly wrecks you. But it's not as unfair as it sounds; you have time to see the Power Play before it hits you most of the time, you almost never stop, even if you are wrecked ( you respawn accelerating), and every challenge is difficult to an extent, but not overly impossible. However, the game suffers from a lack of a variety of cars and courses ( most include parts from an earlier track), and the cars are unbalanced, most noticably in the highest class of cars. Some cars in Class A are way stronger or faster than others in the same class, and some can even go at maximum speed the entire time ( normally, you only go at maximum speed when you are near last place). Next time, Blackrock should consider what they put on a car. The multiplayer lags a lot, and sometimes messes you up.

Orginallity 10/10
The developers actually came up with their own car designs without going too far and came up with their own names. You will face many obstacles on the course (some that you probably have never seen before in another game) and play through insane game modes such as "Air Strike" or "Survival". In "Air Strike", you must dodge rockets in order to gain points. This is harder than it sounds, and this kind of minigame is like no other I have seen. Sure, you face missles and rockets in Call of Duty, but have you ever drove through a rain storm of them? In "Survival" you dodge barrels and pass trucks. Also harder than it sounds, because you are timed, and the barrels are spread across the entire course. If they come up with a sequel, I'd like to see more of these unique gameplay modes.

Story N/A
The only thing here is a TV show, and you are the star. Nothing much, but the ending does hint about a story in a sequel.
