Roy to retire

Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy plans to retire due to degenerative knees. This will be a big loss to the Blazers, but will give them some salary-cap relief.

Too bad he has to retire, he's a great player.

This is a bit sad. He's an amazing athlete, and the Blazers will definitely miss him.

Such a sad story for the Blazers and us fans. He will be greatly missed Roy and he will always remain one of my favorite basketball players of all-time. I salute him for all the hard work, dedication, and loyalty he gave to Portland and I will never forget about him. Thank you for all the great memories B-Roy and it's been a shame you've had to deal with these injuries in your career. As a dedication to B-Roy you guys should watch.
