Rockies aquire Ellis

The Colorado Rockies aquired 2nd baseman Mark Ellis from the A's for minor-league pitcher Bruce Billings and a yet-to-be-named player.

Ellis has only been batting .217 so far this year, and he was on the DL for a while. The Rockies need help at 2B though, so I think he'll help them a little, I don't expect him to turn their season around though.

He obviously won't turn around their season, but he's still a good acquisition. Sounds like the Rockies got a great deal.

Yeah Ellis has a lot of potential. He may not be doing that great this season, but he will be a great asset to the teams future.
