Earth. The year is 3257. The future? It’s a steampunk one.
Other worlds across the universe have also become interconnected, and travel between them has become normal and accepted practise, bringing together cultures and societies that could have never before imagined one another existed, and throwing together humans and humanoids alike that have never been together before.
However, this also brings together problems from worlds that used to be isolated – enemies and creatures that only existed on one world, now have access to all of them.

People were beginning to get used to the idea that the worlds were interconnected. It was becoming even accepted as ‘normal.’ And then, the Purge happened.
Suddenly, people disappeared. There was no warning, and there was no explanation. Across all the worlds, family, friends, loved ones, enemies, and total strangers alike were simply…gone. They left no clues. It was almost as if they never existed, except for to the people that were left behind to deal with their absence.
Sometimes, people would reappear – not always on their home world, but occasionally they were, but they would never have any recollection about what had happened, and where they had been while they were missing.
However, some are not satisfied simply living with the hope that eventually the people they miss will return. Some are more motivated to find a real explanation, an answer, and a solution.
And in the mean time? Those with darker intentions have been taking advantage of the fact that many people have been left emotionally vulnerable – and alone.
