Anyone play pool? It's a bit like snooker. It's hard to describe as their are so many different types but I play were there are spotted and striped balls. One person wants to pot the spotted and another the striped. This is decided by who pots the first ball. Then you try and pot all your balls until there is only the opponents and the black ball left. Then you have to pot the black ball to win. I've always been very good at it but never joined any teams. Has anyone else played pool?

Pool is really popular here in the US, and I've never heard of Snooker until just now, to be honest. :P

I'm pretty good at it, I guess. It's one of my favorite games to play.

Well in Britain snooker gets better coverage professionally but practically impossible to do in your home due to the size of the table. I have noticed the lack of Americans in the Snooker World Championship. I used to watch all the snooker championships. Almost always a British person won.

I have a pool table in my basement, but it's a tight fit, and the wall gets in the way of the shot a bit too often...

I think pool tables are a few feet smaller than snooker tables, so I couldn't imagine trying to fit a snooker table into my basement. :P

Several of my friends have pool tables at their houses, so we end up playing pretty often. I'm decent at it.

With a snooker table full grown adults can't reach some parts of the table.

I play the English version of pool every Sunday (with red and yellow balls rather than spotted and striped). I love it!

As 2091401 said earlier, Pool is quite popular in the United States. At most sports bars that have the space, you can typically find Pool tables. I know that my sister and I were always playing pools as kids while we would wait for our foods. We never owned one though, surprisingly. Instead, a lot of my friends had a pool table in their basement. I learned to become pretty good at pool, thanks to them.

I've just got myself a nice new cue! I'll be joining a team and renting out a snooker hall for extra table time.

Nice! I don't think I'll ever play pool competitively.
