Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez has threw the 23rd perfect game in MLB history today against the Tampa Bay Rays in a 1-0 win. Hernandez had 12 strikeouts and struck out the side twice.

This is the 3rd perfect game this season, the first two were thrown by Philip Humber and Matt Cain.

A perfect game for the Mariners, but Felix Hernandez is one of the best pitchers in the MLB.

If this keeps on happening, this is definitely gonna be the Era of the Pitcher. If it eventually dies down, at least. :o

Also note that was the first Perfect game by a mariner in the history of their franchise.

Congratulations to Felix Hernandez. The Rays need to quit giving up perfect games though. That's the third they have given up in four seasons.
