The Washinton Nationals have signed former Phillie's reliever, Brad Lidge, to a 1-year, $1 million deal.

Lidge had an ERA of 1.40 last season, and went 0-2 with one save. He was mainly used as a set-up guy for the Phil's closer, Ryan Madson (who signed with the Reds this offseason.)

Thoughts?

Probably a good move by the Nats, but the Phillies are going to miss him.

He's one of those players that seems to be a fan favorite of Phillies fans, so fans will definitely miss him. I don't think it will be too much trouble to replace him, and when you have all these aces in their starting rotation, relief pitchers don't see too many innings.

The Nats added another pitcher to their staff today, signing Edwin Jackson to a 1-year contract, worth between $9-12 million.
