I want to learn a martial art but haven't had the time or dedication to do it. Maybe in my gap year but there's sooooo much other stuff I want to do. I'd rather learn street fighting though because I already know a bit about street fighting. And yes you can learn street fighting.
I would love to have this kind of experience under my belt, but I don't ever have the extra time to go learn this each day or few days a week. Nor do I have the money for the classes. :\
I have done Martial Arts for several years but we had to quit last year because it was costing way to much for us. I was always the top of the family when it came to training and practicing and we enjoyed most of the teachers and the fun drills and exercises that we would do. I wouldn't mind doing martial arts again some time.
You dont see this topic around on forums much i participate in Shotokhan Karate with my daughter. We take 3 lessons a week i myself am a 1st kyu and my duaghter aged 9 is 4th kyu
I have done several Martial Arts classes and I enjoyed them all. I enjoyed doing them while I was able to but I don't do it any more due to financial issues sadly.
I am a black belt in basic martial arts. However, I only do it once a week so I think my skills are starting to die down. Yet it is super fun and I'd recommend it to almost anyone.
I've been to "bring a friend" day to a martial arts class once. Sadly, that is all that I have done and I wish that I had gotten into it. There is a local Kuk Sool Won school that is close and I've thought about joining but haven't had the time. I do like to watch it though.
I actually did learn martial arts and did in fact get my black belt! Now however I compete in sparring which is a ton of fun. I'm currently doing it competitively in my district but hope to move up to provincials for my age soon. If anyone tries to kidnap me, they better be ready for a fight! As I have suggested during this post, it is something I truly enjoy and certainly plan on continuing.
I used to take Karate when I was much younger. I never got past the white belt because I quit as soon as I was going to get the Yellow belt. My teacher told me that I had to participate in a tournament or something to get my yellow belt. I don't like the fact of everybody looking at me, I guess I'm a little timid, but I don't have stage freight.
